Frodo is killed by orcs, and the ring is returned to Sauron. In a last ditch effort, Gandalf summons Superman to Middle Earth to help. Would Superman being able to take on Sauron at full power and the entire army of Mordor?
@The_Last_Son_of_Czarnia: First off, that's not canon for the comics.
Well, to be fair, there is no cannon. I don't think Darkseid has even appeared yet in the New 52. The movies may not be cannon, but at this point, neither are any of his previous comic appearances.
Imagine that Goku was never born, and instead Naruto tries to be the hero of the Dragon Ball world. How long would he last before he became outclassed by his opponents? Would he be able to defeat the early Yamcha? How far would he progress in the 21st World Martial arts tournament? Would he beat young Krillin? At absolute peak power, who is the most powerful Dragon Ball character that he would be able to defeat?
Sinister wins. After watching Juggernaut for years, he'll craft an elaborate plan which will involve cloning, chemical weapons, and killing Cain's loved ones. He'll break juggernaut's spirit and then kill him when he's at his lowest. Alternatively, seeing as he's basically immortal, he could just wait until Juggernaut dies of old age and then win by default.
Buu would win. By the end, the Dragon Ball characters were all ridiculously overpowered. They could move significantly faster than the speed of light and blow up planets with ease. Its also important to remember that Buu absorbs people who are similar to him in power. So even if Lobo managed to put up a decent fight, Buu would ultimately just absorb him and take on his characteristics. You'd just end up with an even more psychotic Buu.
I agree that most of the evidence seems to indicate that he'd be like Nate Grey. But there is one little problem with that theory. If that's the case, then why wasn't Stryfe as powerful as Nate Grey. He was identical to Cable in every way except for the fact that he was free of the TO virus. Yet, he always seemed to be on equal footing with Cable. His presence seems to throw a wrench into the theory.
