LOL! I wouldn't say he is exploiting the comic industry more like he is trying to get involved in something different than what any other famous person is getting into.

Good interview and yes Tyrese you are a walking billboard. all he needs is a Mayhem clothing line (wouldn't be supprized if it comes out with the next issue)

p.s. what was with the White Sox hat and the Cubs hat and the St. Louis hat???? your in the Bay area there was way too much Mid West representation at that place lol

This could be good thing if it is done for the right reasons. When a major company restructures and creates new divisions it is hell for anyone who works there. There will be a lot of confusion and stress for all the workers at "DC Entertainment" which could end up messing with the successful products they currently have. BUT after some time I do agree that this could increase the exposure of DC and increase the amount of movies and TV shows based on Batman, Superman, Green Lantern ETC.

This was a great article babs! This deal is the typical stuff you see in the corporate world (for those of you that work for a large company you know exactly what I am talking about). Restructuring DC and adding a new branch "DC Entertainment" is just going to make people who work for the company more stressed. There is no guarantee this will help make DC/Warners more money. It seems like this is just a made up division to get DC/Warners in the news to counter the actions of Marvel/Disney. However, I do agree that we need to see more DC characters making it on the big screen and TV, but I just hope they do not mess with the actual comic books themselves. DC is very popular right now (especially with the Blackest Night series going on) and it would be a shame to see this "new division" that is based on making more money ruin the one aspect of the company that is succeeding. It already seems to be a bad idea being that Levitz resigned from his position as President. Lets all hope this turns out to not ruin the comics, the movies or any thing else that any DC fan loves about DC and only increases the amount of movies/TV shows/character exposure that we want to see.

Honestly I see this being good for Marvel. DC has always had a studio to make their movies now Marvel has one too! They won't be dark gritty movies like Batman, but if you look at the latest Marvel movies they aren't dark and gritty any ways so it will be fine. Besides most people look at Marvel comics as more targeted toward children anyways (no offense to any one reading this just throwing it out there) I think this is a very good thing for Marvel. It will help them make more movies (not saying they will be better or worse) and it will really boost Marvels popularity among a younger generation.

I have a feeling this will be a bust. As awesome as deadman is, I have a feeling this movie will have a much smaller budget than say Batman or Superman because of the fact that you stated not a lot of people are familiar with him. Before they begin anything with this movie they need to get him more involved in DCU and promote him like crazy if they would want this movie to be a success. But if they do make this and del Toro is directing I will definately see it

no you don't liar "

@inferiorego: well I do miss not having bills, debt, or any responsibilites... I do enjoy being a college grad... I can do what I want when I want, no exams (well not until I start law school), and making money is great. But I still would go back.
