THOR being the son of the Asgardian ruler Odin and the elder goddess Gaea is the physically the strongest amongst the Asgardians . Like all his brethren he relies upon the golden apples of Idunn for extended life.Thor is capable of entering into a state known as the "Warrior's Madness" in which his capabilities increase exponentially.But like all good things in this universe this too comes with a drawback, Thor, while attacking is unable to differentiate between his friend and foe,in this state.

Being a god, Thor is practically omnipotent.He possesses invulnerability to physical injuries. Thor possesses keen senses to an extent which is beyond our comprehension. He has the ability to travel through time. Thor has an extremely high endurance level which allows him to battle for months without any rest and also has shown regenerative abilities. Like all Asgardians, he has immunity to all Earthly diseases and some resistance to magic. Also being the god of thunder, Thor can summon lightning (thousand of times more powerful than the normal ones) and also has some control over the weather. As a son of Gaea , he also has some control over earth.

The trademark of Thor is his hammer , Mjolnir, which is the source of most of his power and one of the most powerful weapon in the universe. Mjolnir itself has several enchantments: no living being may lift the hammer unless they are worthy; it returns to the exact spot from which it is thrown and returns to Thor when summoned; open inter dimensional portals, allowing its wielder to travel to other dimensions . When Thor transforms into Blake, his hammer takes the appearance of a wooden walking stick.

When Mjolnir was damaged, Doctor Strange bound Thor's soul into Mjolnir, meaning that if the hammer were to be broken again, Thor may die.
