It could have, if they had gone for a proper honest to goodness classic look and feel. I'm not sure that something like the new Teen Titans book will bring lapsed or new fans in. 
 
An "outsider" would want to see a Titans book of Robin, Aqualad, Wonder Girl, Speedy, Kid Flash not that line up that serves neither man or beast. Who wanted to see the line up we got?

I feel lucky as a GL fan. We seem to have come through this with our 4 main guys pretty untouched. (As far as we can see)

@colmb89: honestly, I'm not that fussed, but that's mainly because I'm a Green Lantern (guy) fan and he seems to have come through it all OK.  The main titles I bought before were GL ones, and they will be again.... I guess I'm lucky.
 
I am peeved about the lack of love for Wally West as he was my Flash and am slightly gutted that Ted Kord isn't coming back as that JLI team is so close to my perfect Justice League it's untrue.
 
Saying that, I can totally see the distrust of this whole thing, if they had done a ground zero everything starts again I think that would have gone down better. Part of the problem is that is it can't decide if it's a continuation (Green Lantern), revamp (Batman) or complete rewrite (Titans). It doesn't seem to know what it is and so we don't either. 
 
Some decisions are just plain bad - Barbara Gordon Batgirl for one. I'm really not sure that Batwoman and Batgirl should be in the same age range. 
 
This was a golden opurtunity to define DC Comics for a generation, but it's coming across as half way between a Zero Hero and an Ultimatization. They should have done everything Iconic, the classic Titans line up, the classic big 7 JLA etc... This is a halfway house that accomplishes nothing it should.
