Wow! The most beloved Doctor playing the most reviled villain in Marvel Comics? Talk about casting against type.

The Invisible Woman and the Sub-Mariner begin the battle already invisible. The Invisible Woman is also, obviously, already protected by her force field. The Sub-Mariner immediately takes to the air. The Invisible Woman encases Mera in a force bubble, preventing Mera from doing anything to anyone. The Invisible Woman projects an interlocking grid of invisible force field bars across the entire battlefield, greatly impeding Aquaman. While this may not be enough to immobilize Aquaman, it will keep him off balance, especially with the Sub-Mariner, invisibly, striking at Aquaman, always from a different direction. Every time Aquaman tries to leap out of the grid, he crashes into an invisible force field. The Invisible Woman can keep shifting, and replenishing the grid, as Aquaman beats through it. The Invisible Woman would also, likely, encase the trident in a force field, to blunt it's effectiveness as a piercing weapon.

Black Panther, obviously. He was the first black super-hero, and he deserves his due.

No. The Hulk is not going to appear in Captain America: Civil War. Marvel has no plans to do a solo Hulk film, which means there are no plans to adapt World War Hulk into a film. From what I have read, the conflict in Captain America: Civil War is solely between Captain America and Iron Man. Iron Man is after the Winter Soldier for assassinating Howard Stark. Captain America wants to save his old partner. Thus, Iron Man and Captain America will be at odds with one another. Don't let the title fool you. This third Captain America is not going to be a true adaptation of the Civil War mini-series. In all honestly, how could it be? There is no S.H.I.E.L.D. By the time the film is released, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will have about a dozen super-heroes established. Hardly enough for a "war". Captain America: Civil War is going to be the second half of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with, essentially Iron Man as Captain America's adversary. Both Hawkeye, and the Black Widow are reportedly going to be in the film. Thor, and the Hulk will not be.

As long as the story is good, I don't care what kind of hero it features.

@havenless: Not really. Cyborg is Geoff Johns' pet character, and Johns, at the very least, has the ear of Warner Brothers studio executives, when it comes to proposing characters for feature films. What I find bizarre is that Cyborg didn't get a solo series at the advent of the "new" 52 reboot. He's the only member of the Justice League who didn't, and still doesn't have a solo series. For a character whose "time had come", Cyborg has been fairly marginalized in DC's current continuity.

I wouldn't necessarily hold out a lot of hope for the Cyborg film. Warner Brother's film slate is a house of cards. If just one of those films tanks, or simply fails to meet box office expectations, it'll have the potential to shelve every film after it.

No. Superman has starred in seven titles since the "new" 52 reboot. "B" list characters are lucky to have one ongoing title. "C" list characters are lucky to appear regularly in a team book. Superman launched DC's Earth-One original graphic novel line. DC will always lead with Superman, even though Batman is, arguably, a more popular character.

@lone_wolf_and_cub: Well, I certainly do. Clearly the writers don't. Claremont phased him out of the X-Men, even crippling him for several years. Brubaker brought him briefly out of retirement, just to kill him. The Banshee has never been given a fighting chance, to carve out a piece of the Marvel Universe as his own, but I've always thought he was cool. One of those characters with lots of unrealized potential.
