@carnivalofsins00: Wow, i kinda feel sorry for you since there are some amazing stories told in the ultimate line. The original Ultimates and the entire Ult. Spidey run are some of the best modern comics, period.
This is the best news I've heard all week, especially since I spent a little over 300 bucks at the comic store this past weekend. I've spent all week listing titles I plan on dropping and unfortunately theres just as many that i want to add, this news helps me and my wallet tremendously!
@DMC: The video links above are actually just the japanese openers to the same 90s X-Men cartoon we had here in the states. They just had much much better opening credits. I too would have loved an entire series like this...
I'm a huge Zack Snyder fan and couldn't be happier about this choice of director. However, General Zod? Really? I enjoy the character, sure, but he's been done before- and done well I might add. I thought the idea behind this new movie was to do just that, make a NEW movie no ties to the previous incarnations. Now they're talking about it being a quasi sequel to superman II?
Zack Snyders take on parasite, or braniac, or metallo, or even bizarro (although this was 'kinda' done in superman III) is what I would much rather see. He has such a striking visual style, lets see him take on a new villian and allow him to make his own mark with no ties to anything thats come before (although i totally think they can use brandon routh again, he still makes a great superman).
Although this 3-minute expert was great (I'm a huge superboy fan)- I'm suprised there was no mention of conner's Tactile Telekinesis which is what most of his powers are based off of.
