Did you know that the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide actually makes note of strangulation covers?
With all the superpowers in comics, you might be surprised at how many fights break down to strangulation. I know I've been kind of surprised at how many covers I've been seeing with that. As I run across them again, I'll put them here.

(3/76) Hulk #197. Man-Thing strangling Hulk. (There's just no way to use that name in a sentence without it sounding dirty)
(6/77) Superman #312. COVER: Who will die at the hands of the Kryptonian-Killer? Superman or Supergirl KK: "Surrender to me, SUPERMAN-- or your cousin has HAD it!" ...Supergirl being strangled by green blob with purple sparkles.

(7/84) Superman #397. He's "The Born-Again Kryptonite Man"-- but you'll never guess WHY he wants to KILL SUPERMAN!
(10/89) Captain Atom #34. CA strangling Dr. Spectro, while holding him underwater.
(4/91) Spectacular Spider-Man #175. Ock's got a claw on Spidey's throat, holding him underwater. The bit about holding him underwater is what made me call this a strangulation cover, rather than a choke hold cover.
