Snoopy Strikes Again! (Comic Ads #5)

Comic Ads are more than just the mountain of Hostess Ads we know and love. Over the years, many a company has used one page comic ads to shill their products in the pages of comic books! So I thought I'd do a list series that showcases those ads, and shows you what issues I've found them in. To me, these are as much a part of comics history as any superhero, and I love 'em for the nostalgia they bring. I hope they do the same for you. Enjoy.

Monogram brought us a snap together model of Snoopy as the flying ace that would take on The Red Baron. I think the best part about it is the word balloon! You could write whatever you wanted to on it, although the ad suggests "Curse you, Red Baron!" I found the color version on the Intenet, but the version I actually have wasn't in color. It's still a cool find though (and a scan of the black-and-white version is below). Just for kicks, I included three Snoopy vs. Red Baron songs by The Royal Guardsmen. Enjoy.

Royal Guardsmen - Snoopy vs. The Red Baron

The Royal Guardsmen - The Return of the Red Baron

The Royal Guardsmen - Snoopy's Christmas
