How's Trix? (Comic Ads #30)

Comic Ads are more than just the mountain of Hostess Ads we know and love. Over the years, many a company has used one page comic ads to shill their products in the pages of comic books! So I thought I'd do a list series that showcases those ads, and shows you what issues I've found them in. To me, these are as much a part of comics history as any superhero, and I love 'em for the nostalgia they bring. I hope they do the same for you. Enjoy.

From the same 1965 issue as A Laugh A Minute With The Cuckoo Bird! What else can really be said here? Except...

Silly Rabbit!

...Well, okay, it did make me think of the comic to the right. It's so evil, but really, I think it's what everyone thinks at some point, after seeing him fail so many times. "Why are those kids so mean? Why won't they just give him some cereal? Trix don't have to be just 'for kids!' He's a cartoon! How much could he eat? That's just wrong! Wrong! Wroooooonnnngggg!"

Maybe that was just me though.

I absolutely think the same way. Though, this is the first time I see the rabbit. Very new reader friendly of you to fill in on certain things.

That`s some great artwork.

Also, I`ve read the main story in that ish. It`s awesome in every way.

@kfhrfdu_89_76k: >.> Not sure if being serious... I actually felt like I was pretty sparse in this one, but okay. :}

And yes, the Uncle Scrooge story was great in this issue. Loved Barko. :)

I am. Serious.

By the way, what do ya think of Grant Morrisons writing? I`ve fallen in love with it, over the years. First we started as friends, but my feelings have grown greatly.

@kfhrfdu_89_76k: Um...random. He's okay - I've liked the stuff I read by him. I have not read much of anything since Final Crisis started coming out, so anything he's written since then that (some) people really criticized, I have missed. He's not my favorite, but I've been known to enjoy his stuff.

(Continuing the randomness.) Well, then. What creator(s?) DO you read pretty much anything from?

Can`t say that I`d agree about everything you wrote to the "7 post". Don`t really dislike any of the writers, either. But, cool to know.

The other blog is cool too. But I don`t agree 100 % on that, either. Obviously.

You should self publish. Send your work to personas that publish stories in free mags. You don`t get paid that much, if at all, in either case. But you should do that. You have to start somewhere.

You could also start a succesful blog in what you publish your stories bit by bit. That you update daily, or weekly. But that takes alot of effort.
