This list is also part of my "Arms of Another" series.
Crisis on Infinite Earths #7, with its pose of Superman holding Supergirl, has inspired many covers to imitate it. However, it can be (and often is) argued that X-Men #136 made the pose famous before Crisis did. Personally, I would point out that there are similar covers that predate both Crisis and X-Men. Since it's so debatable, I'm limiting this list to those covers that clearly homage Crisis #7 - key elements being the pose and the background. They will be listed in chronological order. But first, the original...
What is "Arms of Another?"
"Arms of Another" is when "A" is holding "B" in their arms. I have several categories for this:
.Arms of Another: "A" has "B" in their arms, but it doesn't quite fit the other lists.
.Crisis on Infinite Earths #7 (Homages): Clear homages to the cover of COIE #7.
(1/91) Mighty Mouse #4. Mighty Mouse holding Mighty Mousette. And that guy with the reverse costume colors, in the corner box, is Mighty's alternate Earth evil counterpart, Mangy Mouse! lol Welcome to... MICES ON INFINITE EARTHS! This cover's one of my favorite homages to COIE #7.
(4/92) Superman: The Man of Steel #10. Supergirl (Matrix) holding Draaga. When this came out, I thought it was funny, because it turned the tables, with "Supergirl" now holding the body. You think she's crying for Draaga, or because he's heavy?
(7/98) Major Bummer #12. No idea who the girl is holding MB (I'm assuming that's his name). Two things I love here: 1) The balloon headed guy in the background, clicking his heels, and 2) The title: CRISIS OF INFINITE JERKS! (Especially since the title is the only thing making me sure it's a homage to Crisis, and not X-Men)
Corner box says "variant cover by George Perez and Ryan Sook." This showed up on the COMICS SWIPES Facebook group, posted by Russ Merritt, November 10th, 2022.
I'm assuming this is an actual comic, but I haven't found it on CV. So, until I have more information this is all I've got.
Illustrated byMarvel ComicsartistDavid Baldeón, ANYMAN is a contemporary superhero book with an unexpected twist. If you’ve enjoyed JM’s more mainstream superhero work on Spider-Man, Justice League or Captain America, you were born to love ANYMAN!
I remember an Anyman from the 1980's Dial "H" for Hero run. I tried to find a picture just to show it, but no luck.
Other cool images that homage Crisis on Infinite Earths #7:

Note:
"Inferiority Complex, Part 3." I found this sometime in the 1990's. I have no idea if this was actually a comic, or if this was just drawn for an article or what. If it is a comic, I haven't found it on CV. I have not been able to find an original source for it. Another COIE 7 homage list has popped up since I started this one, and it has this image too. I don't know if they got it from here, or also had it from the original source.
I don't know the signature at the bottom, but it also says, "Apologies to George Perez." None necessary, I say- this picture is fantastic!
