Arms of Another

"Arms of Another" is my first list! It started out as a list of covers like the cover to Crisis on Infinite Earths #7 (Superman holding Supergirl). 145 covers later, I realized that I had several themes going on in one list, so I split it up. This list is just generally someone being held in both arms of another character. Spin-off lists from this one are:

HOMAGES: Crisis on Infinite Earths #7..............................Covers directly homaging Crisis #7.

HOMAGES: X-Men #136.........................................................Covers directly homaging X-Men #136.

HOMAGES: MGN #1: The Death of Captain Marvel...........Covers homaging MGN #1 (and by extension, Michaelangelo's "Pieta").

Brought to Their Knees...........................................................Same criteria as Arms of Another, except the person holding the body is on their knees.

@Liberty: Thank you, sir! I have a handful of others up too. They're all (including this one) works in progress though... I'll be adding more covers as I run across them. ;)

@Silkcuts: Sent you a PM, Silk'...basically: go for it. My roomie's IE prevents me from getting into the wiki, so there's nothing I can do except make lists.

@no one in particular: On a side note, I know Chrome and Firefox are gaining in popularity, but an awful lot of people still use IE, for CV to be formatted in such a way that it doesn't work with the browser. I know it's not going to change, but it is frustrating. So I do blogs, lists, and what other stuff I can do, until I'm able to get wireless for my computer, and put Chrome on it.

Great original concept for a list.  Cheers!

This is so freaking cool. If these aren't already added, you should totally do some work on the Homage Covers page.

grr, my reply links don't work.

@ Dark Huntress: thanks very much.  When I finally get Internet set up on my computer again, rather than the library (where I'm at now), I will download Firefox or something that will allow me to work on the wiki, and pages like Homage Covers.  Somewhere along the way, someone asked if they could mine my lists for the homage covers.  I told 'em to go ahead, because if they didn't, someone else probably would.

Just to differentiate my lists from the concepts pages, my goal here is to put them in chronological order, and see if I can eventually figure out what cover did it first.  I think they've figure this kind of thing out, in the Overstreet's Price Guide, but this is so much more fun... okay, so I like detailed minutiae, and my definition of "fun" needs work. lol ;)
