"Namor and Me"

This piece was done for CBR's "The Line Is Drawn," where a list of artists (including myself) had to choose from twitter feed responses and then create cover homages. Mine was this one.

This is a cover homage to Betty and Me #16, which featured an unintentional double entendre from Archie to Betty, when asked if he had any trouble rescuing her: "I sure did, Betty, I had to BEAT OFF three other guys!" My version has the amorous Namor whisking the Invisible Girl away from her Fantastic Four teammates. And then taking the innocent double entendres to ridiculous new extremes. Yeah, I've watched a LOT of "Three's Company" episodes.
