We all have trade paperback (TPB) collections we'd like to see. Here's one of mine:

Proposed Title:Spider-Man: The Assassin Nation Plot.
Alternate Title:Amazing Spider-Man: The Assassin Nation Plot.
Collecting 6 Issues:Amazing Spider-Man #320-325.
Covers: (click to enlarge)
TPB Cover: Oops! See the Did U Buy It?

I don't know what made me think of this storyline. When it was coming out, I was reading Spider-Man trades pretty regularly, and this is one of the first arcs I wanted to buy in single issues, but I didn't quite have the money for it at the time. This looks like a pretty cool story, with Paladin, Silver Sable, Captain America, Sabretooth, The Red Skull, the forces of ULTIMATUM, and of course Spidey. I'd still like to read this. These issues are available in Spider-Man Legends: Todd McFarlane, Vol. 3 (cover). with the exception of #324, which was pencilled by Erik Larsen (who told McFarlane he could have time off?). Obviously, I'd rather have all of the issues in one book.

Would you buy it? Let me know in the comments, and thanks for reading.

Did U Buy It? OOPS!!!

1/25/11: OOPS!!! Thanks to SinestroPrime420, who let me know that there is already a TPB of The Assassin Nation plot out there. I had looked on Mile High Comics and didn't find it, when I was doing this blog. A Google search found it on mycomicshop.com, after SP420's comment brought it to my attention. Spider-Man: The Assassin Nation Plot was published in 1992, with a cover price of $14.95. However, I don't know if that TPB is still in print. For the cover, they used an original design, but Silver Sable looks like she was photoshopped and tilted from the cover of ASM #321. I had said in the comments that I would delete this blog, if someone could show me that it was already in print, but since I'm about ten WUBI's past this now, I'm going to leave it alone. Thanks for the heads up, SinestroPrime420. -cb :)

7/11/12: Added a wiki page for the Spider-Man: The Assassin Nation Plot TPB (my first wiki edit!). :)

9/2/14: Moved this blog from the story arc page to the page I created for the TPB on 7-11-12. Best to keep this mistake all in one place I suppose. ;}

I think I saw something like his once.

@Primmaster64: Y'know, I wasn't really sure.  I kind of thought I had seen it as a TPB somewhere, but a) I didn't find it on Mile High Comics, and b) it's not listed in my comic file, and I try to keep track of that kind of thing.  If someone can show me the TPB, I'll delete this one (as long as it's not published after this blog). ;)

@cbishop: ok, but I'm not sure.
Edited by cbishop
@Primmaster64: I'm 99% sure it hasn't been released as a TPB.

maybe

@GTG12: Well, it's a hypothetical book, so I'll take a "maybe." ;)  Thanks for the comment. :)

Too many copies of the monthlies to purchase..

@turoksonofstone: You mean there are too many of the back issues available to warrant a trade?  If so, you are probably correct - I'm just sort of a ho for TPB's - lol.  That's probably true of most of the WUBI's I do, but I still think collections would be cool. :)

THANK YOU, SP420!  I have updated the blog accordingly, but have changed my mind about deleting it... what would I do for a WUBI #66? ;)

Thanks, butters'! I've since updated the page with the TPB info, and added a wiki page for the TPB (my first wiki edit! Yay!).

I appreciated everyone's help on this one. -cb
