We all have trade paperback (TPB) collections we'd like to see. Here's one of mine:

Proposed Title:Ultraverse: Break-Thru.
Alternate Title:Break-Thru.
Collecting 13 Issues:Break-Thru #1-2; Firearm #4; Freex #6; Hardcase #7; Mantra #6; Night Man #3; Prime #7; Prototype #5; Sludge #3; Solitaire #2; Solution #4; Strangers #7.
Covers: (click to enlarge)
TPB Cover: Break-Thru #1

I never really knew what Break-Thru was about, but I do know that I'd still like to read it. Like just about all of the Ultraverse titles, you can probably find these issues in a quarter bin, but I wouldn't mind seeing this story in TPB. This was the universe unifying story arc, before Marvel bought the Ultraverse. As Ultraverse was really good then, I'd like to read this story in its entirety, and have it on my booshelf as an example of cool comics.

For the cover, I think that Break-Thru #2 is slightly more eye catching, with the red in Prime's costume standing out. However, the cover seems to imply that Prime and Hardcase are the center of the story. So I'd go with the cover of Break-Thru #1, which shows more of the characters involved.

Would you buy it? Let me know in the comments, and thanks for reading.

Yeah, I think the loss of the Ultraverse is one of the great travesties of the comics industry, and it's what made me call Marvel "The House of Ideas That Go Bump in the Night." I have read that there were messy, entangled legal issues that keep this stuff from being reprinted, or even brought back to publication, but it always appeared to me that marvel bought Ultraverse just to get the Exiles title name. While I would have much rather seen Ultraverse stand on its own, I would even like to see the characters introduced into the Marvel U. I really don't get the characters being buried.
