@cattlebattle: Pfft theres a thread pinned to the top of the board where 3 posters tag eachother in one word answers...but you accuse Pyro and I of being the same. Ha!
Also did anyone see X-23 issue today. Gabby solos a bunch of guards while Laura hides behind some rubble. Solo-Queen Gabby is gonna be my new favorite thing on the battle board.
They do that because some moron went around acting like having the top post count makes you some sort of authority figure that everyone likes. So, these people apparently have no meaning in their life and just spam the forums with garbage until they accumulate a lot of posts. I forgot the name of the guy that did that....he called himself a "god-king" or something, which I always thought was weird, because something like "Overlord" sounds cooler. I would personally go by "Fuhrer", just to offend people...but that's just me.
And no, there would never be any reason on earth for me to read X-23. Even if the meaning of life was printed in it I would still be like "eh, it has that goofy Wolverine clone in it"
I like how in this comic Jean's "to me my x-Men" splash page is supposed to be all epic but all the characters she apparently summons are z-listers. You can almost hear a faint "womp, womp wah" in the background.
"Come Kylun!! We need you to imitate noises of stuff!!"
There are very few "shallow" MCU movies, those being Incredible Hulk, Thor 2 and Iron Man 2. You clearly are a snobby nerd who hates everything that's popular just because it's popular. Tell Zack Snyder I said hi.
I don't know, X-Men, especially when the franchise was at its best, had more "adult" material and was more serious and based around character interactions and drama. The MCU is all about colorful people punching each other with very shallow plots and characters.
A salient problem for the X-Men is that not many characters could uphold a very interesting solo film, let alone a series of films. You have a small contingent of characters that are popular enough like Wolverine and Deadpool and then there are characters who have a lot of their own lore but it's not a guarantee that they will make bank like Cable, Gambit, Dazzler, Longshot etc. I don't know, it's a gamble.
I'd be interested to see if there were any Netflix type series that would spin out of the films. I have some ideas for something like that. Maybe someone should make a thread about it.
