Your Own Starship

Lets say that a small alien shuttle craft abducts you while you were sleeping or on a walk in the city or out in a park or walking trail you realize that you are inside the ship alone and inside the cockpit. the screen turns on and shows you the view of the sky at is leaves the atmosphere. The ship tries to communicate with you but for whatever reason due to it being ancient or you not being fully compatible with it, it fails. But, it links your mind to the craft on a subconscious level allowing for the ship to anticipate your needs and desires. The screen shows you a trajectory course of where it is heading as if it is showing you what you are silently asking. The course takes you to the dark side of the moon where the view screen shows a large Galaxy Class Starship similar to Voyager from star trek. It's bay doors open as the shuttle comes in for a landing, lights begin to light up as you approach. a voice on the intercom begins to speak to you at 1st in an alien language before finally allowing you to some how understand it.

As you walk out in fear you see light bands on the walls flashing showing you where to head, the Ship greets you and calls you Captain, hologram emitters all over the ship begin to activate showing you holographic members of the long dead crew each smiling and pointing you to the lift.... as you enter the lift it takes you to the command deck where a large screen activates and states why you were taken.. your DNA matches those of the long dead crew for some weird reason it believes you are the only member alive hence giving you full access to the ship...

The ship begins to power up and begin repairs for having bn unattended for so long.
The ship asks you a question: state mission and objective, Captain...

the ship has a full interactive crew members, knowledge and technology of it's time.

what do you do?

Similarities of Religion

Do any of you wonder why so many religions sometimes have more than the simple fundamental message of love, compassion and caring but stories, allegories that are eerily similar if not downright identical to one another sometimes not just in neighboring countries but  from entirely different cultures that are too far apart to have any connection to one another sometimes crossing time itself...

Many religions are based on the concept of duality between good and evil which is a start point for various belief structures which one can accept is a logical start point even a monotheistic religion can be a simple progressive result of polytheistic origin which involve a chief god among the pantheon.

I've noticed that many ancient religions now considered myths  have savior gods which seem to mirror many other savior gods from across the ocean and other continents whose story involve self sacrifice for the benefit of humanity, why is that?

is it a simple psychological mellow trauma  for humanities need to be saved from one's own unworthiness and self loathing?

Or is there more, are these stories simply ancient events that have occurred but simply spiraled into the world of myth, legend and religion creating gods and heroes from extraordinary man who represented what we all aspire to but fail to reach?

If so does that mean that things like Giants, dragons, mythical creatures can all be explained away as mere exaggerations or did they really exist which is why many cultures speak of them even across the ocean on other continents, Are they some deep racial memory buried  deep within our psyche from some ancient horror of ancient man's past?

Many people believe that many religions came about or were based on astrology simply for people to measure, time, year and seasons while also observing and recording stellar event giving names to them and later being   anthropomorphized and put in stories and the original meaning having been lost. The stories were once a form to teach how the stars traveled where they went  how the seasons would change only for later generation to start calling them kings who traveled across the desert or some exotic lands and so on writing entire epic events out of the original teachings that were simply used to keep ppl from getting lost..... etc etc..

Do you know any religion or Myth that are similar to each other, do you thing it was completely dependent and grew on its own or was it based on earlier myths, religion or legends borrowing from them to create a new religion, myth, legend?

what savior gods are mirror images of others?

when i think about this usually these names come to mind:

Mithra
Zoroastrianism
Prometheus
Hercules
Yeshua
Quetzalcoatl
Gilgamesh
Horus...
Thor

If a woman wrote religion

how different do you think religion would be if a woman wrote it, how would it effect the world in ancient time and today?
do you think there be less war or more war would we fight over the same things or would it be different cause ?
would society be better off or worse?

how would the great religions of the world be changed if a woman penned them?

Moses Wife Was Black

In the original testament Moses had a wife who was Ethiopian in which Moses referred to his Moorish wife meaning black later down in history she was removed due to European sensibility and replaced by Moses other wife completely removing her.

  .

Now if irrc correctly the bible prohibits the removal, editing and changing of the bible which i understand it is done regardless but usually to translate and spread the message, i believe the purposely removing and hiding a story would be a very grave and intolerable act to any christian.

what do you  guys think?
opinions, comments are welcome.

Polygamy vs Adultery

 Polygamy vs Adultery

In the old testament adultery was only reserved for the woman and was viewed as a property crime committed upon the man and the misuse of his woman.

Yet at the same time polygamy was accepted, a man could have more than one woman and was even encourage to take his deceased brother's wife and impregnate them as it was the duty of the brother. Men could have concubines and even surrogate partners to bear him children while still married.

views on this opinions welcomed.

is there really a difference or is it really one sided hypocrisy ?

"What Gives You The Right?"

Most often ppl think they can make hard choices that effects everyone else simply based on their own personal beliefs, what gives anyone that right to make any such decision for everyone else and when do you draw the line and say, "It is not up to me to make the choices for other and most importantly when do you put aside your religion or moral beliefs to protect others ?

are you willing to allow bad things to happen b/c your religion tells you to, will you turn a blind eye or hide behind your religion and allow someone to be raped, beaten or tortured simply to maintain some spiritual purity, would you kill someone to prevent the things mention or break the law?

My attempt to study and follow certain personal spiritual beliefs like many other ppl  prevents me from committing violence and even to allow violence to be committed unto me. I find this a noble aspiration that i try from time to time to  live by but i readily put them aside and employ violence to prevent it from being used on others weaker than me.

I know many ppl think it is wrong but if  violence were not used on behalf of those that cant defend themselves or are unwilling to fight than who will defend them here and now, it's great to think about the afterlife in some paradise but you dont change things with inaction.

People mention Ghandi and Martin Luther King as a symbol of nonviolence and what it can accomplish but how many people like them have actually succeeded in history with said method? most often they are crushed under the boot heel of a tyrant or warlord along with those that follow them in their nonviolent pursuit.

i dont put my personal beliefs ahead of others, i think it is selfish to do so and i have often violated my personal beliefs at the cost of my spiritual growth to prevent violence and i am okay with that. i have even come to the realization that doing the right thing will often times lead me into more trouble with the  law and i am okay with that .  i know that just b/c it is the law it dont make it right, something i learned since i could barely  walk growing up in an inner city. .

A lil food for thought to ponder on and an attempt to grasp morality, i also leave you with this:

Cheerleader Kicked of Squad For Not Cheering For Her Rapist

So a young girl was kicked off a team for not cheering for the guy who raped her during a game.

H.S., a Silsbee student, reported being raped in 2008 by Rakheem Bolton, a fellow student and athletic star, with the help of two of his friends. In the end, Bolton recently ended up getting off without serving any jail time by pleading guilty to a lesser assault charge, spending two years on probation, doing community service, paying a fine, and attending anger management courses.

King Tut Is White? 0_o

so apparently some DNA testing was done on his mummified remains but the results were withheld only for it to leak out anyways and it turns out he is European. The reason the test results were covered up was due to possible violence and uproar of ppl at the news.

what do you guys think were they right to try to withhold the information?
how does this change things, do you even care?
