I kind of forget Ollie actually has impressive feats sometimes because of him being portrayed less like his comicbook counterpart and more like Batman. I stopped watching the show after a while so I don't know his current skill level. I think whether or not he beats Ollie is the real debate.

@hush114:It is very tough because footage of Both fighters is rare, however Robinson was well season and trained against all types of styles. Swamers, pressure fighters, defensive specialists and he's fought in every divison between 147-175lbs, faced every HOF fighter there was in those weight classes. He literally killed a man in the ring once. If he's trained, and trained well for his opponents capability he most definitely stands a chance. Same with Bruce. I wanted this to be debatable.

This is the only clear way to defeat Robinson, and it still takes him coming off a layoff to struggle the way he did vs Tiger. Even then he was giving as good as he got. Bruce has never fought 15rds with anybody, that much is true. So it all depends. Show some respect.

Bruce Lee, the guy with zero professional fighting credentials is not stomping arguably the greatest boxer of all time despite what kool aid drinking fans of Bruce's films will have you believe

I don't know whta you mean by "kool aid drinking fans" but be careful that sounds offensive.

Better footage:

That's a was a 300lb heavy bag. The new vid is of what they say is 700lbs(never heard it before this video) Standard heavy bags Heavyweight fighters trained with weight less than 250lbs for the record. Now there's no proof that I know of, but they say he had to start filling the bags with metal because the sand wouldn't hold and the bags kept breaking.

I was a bit hesitant to make this but it was fun. I always make my threads on a whim. I was just thinking about this yesterday.

I got the Boxer vs MMA idea stuck in my head once again and thought to myself "I wish this movie had been made when they were in their prime." They're about the same age. Anyway then I wondered about Bruce Lee and SRR.

If the fight took place in a ring Robinson at 175lbs, Bruce Lee at his natural weight. Boxing rules are the guidelines, however because Bruce Lee was not an American boxer the rules a slightly different. No rabbit punching, both can strike with whatever part of their body but only in the front, no tripping or eye gouging. SRR with his standard mits.

Harry Wiley(just looked that up) in Robinson's corner and various MMA fighters and experts to spar and prep with, Teddy Atlas is in Bruce's corner. Both with 6months to train. 10oz boxing gloves for Robinson, bare hand wraps for Bruce.

I doubt I'll get any response, but this one was fun to think about.

RULE EDIT: Standard boxing guidlines ie No 3 KD rule, No standing 8 count, No headbutting, no striking with elbows, no holding and hitting, no eye gouging etc. As for the striking they can strike with their fists, knees and feet, but it's boxing style so no back handing.

@Silver Zeal:

Whether or not this is linked to racism is a totally different discussion.

Is it even possible to have that discussion on a site like this? Ive never seen a topic around the subject discussed without becoming a flame war. Aside from that Id rather discuss how it would even be possible for a characters "marketability" to grow if theyre pushed aside for more season and well known characters, assigning writers and artists that aren't really suitable also doesn't help in that respect either.

I just got an idea for a fanfic and started looking through some old comics and started to wonder "What the heck happened to Static". I completely lost interest after the reboot. New 52 kind of ruined a lot of characters, few of them were my favorites. Even Batman kind of suffered in certain aspects. I think its understandable for a character like Static have to take the backseat for a while given that but still...y'know.

I love this match up, but I think it depends on who matches up against who maybe how often they trade. Logan would be hard pressed to do anything to cap while he holds that shield. His only real advantage against Cap would be his durability. I think Caps a little too skilled to be seriously injured in h2h vs Logan. So the logical choice would be fore he and Hellboy to fight, Hellboy certainly can take damage and has some great strength feats, but when it comes to h2h he's been incapacitated by opponents not in his strength class.

Blade's skill could be enough, but Logan's is uncertain. If I were to say Woverine could take him I'd guess he has to manage to bob and weave well enough to avoid being tagged. There's too many variables on the other end that Blade and Wolverine would have to account for and it all depends on Blade. They would have to be very in since and trade places now and then. Otherwise they're both at a disadvantage.

I say team 1 6/10 if Hellboy can get a clean haymaker on Wolverine or Blade.
