@ianh: I want to see Doc-Ock get a body and go off on his own ala Ben Reilly. He doesn't always have to be a good guy, but I definitely want to see him continue down the path that he started down when the Superior Spider-Man storyline began.
@deaditegonzo: I guess to add context here. The debate was over the concept of, let's say that Hal was in a situation with non-Star Sapphire Carol Ferris, and there were like a swarm of parademon types, would he be able to give her a weapon to use like a sword or a gun or a baseball bat or whatever tickles your fancy?
While my buddy says no, I have maintained that if Sinestro can basically give Hal what in many ways equates to a ring-construct or fake car that Superman can open the door of:
As long as he's nearby, conscious, focused, and maintains the will to it, why wouldn't he be able to give a civilian a construct weapon in a fight? That's where the debate came from.
I haven't read it, but it probably suffered greatly from the fact that there are like twenty Avengers books and that really splits the readership. How many people are going to pick up every single Avengers book? Most people just pick up the main one. I know that I only read Avengers Assemble by Kelly Sue DeConnick, and that just got cancelled too.
He should require two high-level members of the Justice League, preferably Superman and Shazam, but any two from Superman, Shazam, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, etc. should be about right.
His Wonder Woman is strong, tasteful, and looks like she could seriously throw down, while still maintaining that she is both beautiful and sexy, without making her look like a stripper.
Considering the far greater presence in DC's Animation Media, I would be very surprised if Batman didn't get an animated tribute at some point this year.
