@Nova`Prime`:
The first book they brought out touchs upon the First Contact War, though it would be easier to follow one of the stories in the books.
I think they will use the characters from the game though as if they didn't then it really wouldn't be a Mass Effect film...Just another space opera :P

Hi, just started yesterday. Longer time viewer, first time forum comment. :P

One of my favourite characters if you can't tell by my profile picture is Genis-Vell and one of my favourite story arcs is 'The Destiny War' with the Avengers as time travelling, multiverses and Kang!

@erik:
 The problem with the last one was that he tried to do too much with the film; adding in too many story arcs which were all too simple.
fyi, ITS TRANSFORMERS. You know based on a cartoon series which had very simple stories, and many a time they were repeated over and over, and a very simple concept robots that transformed into vehicles. :P

I'm sort of mis-quoting this but Stan Lee said that he made the Spider-man Story arcs at the beginning filled with "Heavy Doses of Soap Opera", which most if not all writers of comics have done from that point onwards, and the main element of a soap opera is that it never ends.
I get how some people want a conclusion to it; a finale, but they have that in the story arcs.
It's not like Spider-man or Batman are going to stop being a hero as there is always crime and heroes are needed to stop that. The only way around it is to kill off a character, but we all know that never sticks in comics. :P

Well Megan/Michaela can easily be written out of the franchise, she is only a girlfriend and people break up. So why not just remove the romantic element altogether, I know Hollywood believes there ALWAYS has to be a romantic element especially Michael Bay, but why not just forget it and simplify the story line down. I always love DC Universe movies; I loved the Green Lantern: First Flight.
Hope this lives upto the reputation, definitely looks so on the video. :D
