I would do a bit of both. After I master my new found powers I would fight to end the war then sometime afterwards I would return to earth bring along some good old mars tech and set myself up a kick butt reck firm and become a billionaire. Then with my family on earth taken care it would be off too mars for some more awesome adventures!
