Figured that he should be able to tie into Swamp Thing and Animal Man as a part of the Rot.

@deadpoolspidey877: No he should not be able to usethe iron fist. That ability is obtained by entering the cave of the dragon Shou lou in the mystical city of K'un lun. After entering the cave, you have to be worthy and battle the dragon. The power is actually obtained by plunging your hands in the molten heart of the dragon. Taskmaster could mimic the martial arts movesof Danny but not summon the iron fist.

I just want to read good stories. If that story involves killing a character or the resurrection of a character then I'm all for it.

It's not really lazy, it's just a sign of the way things are. It's hard these days to create a new character that everyone wants to read. We already have all these characters and people only have so much money to spend on comics, so they want to buy something they feel some attachment or familiarity with already. So whenever they create any character its a safer bet to have them be similar to one we already know, simply because then the audiences will already have some feeling of attachment going into it.

This.

People wgo nothing about the character histories would be more prone to purchasing a Batgirl or Batwoman title than a Huntress title even if they the same quality or same story because of the Bat brand

@Sicarius_:

My favorite current series are:

Winter Soldier - It is set in it's own part of the Marvel U. It is a great spy thrillerthat is 10 issues into the story.

Swamp Thing/ Animal Man - These two books are mostly separate from the DCU and have a great mixture of superhero and horror elements. They are starting their rot world crossover next month.

Fatale - Image comic by Brubaker. It mixes noir crime atory with the occult and is a really good read.It is 7 issues into the story. He has also written some other really good books in a similar vein called Criminal and Incognito

Saga has also been a good read in its first. 6 isues

Favorite alltime stories

The Marvels Project -Miniseries that covers the firat superheroes in the MarvelU. It is a really good story.

Swamp Thing - The original 1972 run as well as Alan Moores run up through his assault on Gotham are awesome.

Captain America - Winter Soldier and Death of Cap are two of my favorite story arcs of all time.

I completely understand what he's saying. He's not ranting and being bitchy like Kirsten Dunst was on the Spider-Man films, he was simply stating pros and cons to the role. He didn't go and bash it at all. In fact, I think he actually was showing a lot of appreciation for the role. He said he'd rather do smaller independent roles, and this role allows him to do them comfortably without worrying about monetary issues. He stated he loved the role and praised 1) his director 2) his co stars 3) his fans and 4) Marvel. You can't knock a guy for being both honest and humble.

Exactly This.

He was honest and said that he was dreading the intense workouts that he is going to do. Anyone who has played a sport knows how how hard it is to jump innto 2 a days let alone a workout regime that will put on 20lbs of muscle in a couple months.

@MrShway88: They had no plans on killing her. Wolverine did . . . which is why Cap kicked him out of the plane. They did things that were helpful but they made themselves the dictators of the world by taking what was not theirs and exerting force where it was not requested. That is an act of war.

I don't see the Avengers or Captain America in the wrong. He was told by the President to handle the situation. The situation was that the giant cosmic bird which could very easily destroy the world (as proved by the several worlds it destroyed on its way to Earth) was coming to enter its host . . . a child. Sure, Jean was able to control it for a while, and yet it still overtook her and threatened the entire world. Cyclops thought it would be different this time even though it has never proven to be successful in the past.

I do think they handled the initial meeting well, but that is why they showed Cap meeting with Wolverine for him to tell him that Cyclops would not listen. That is their only fault.

I see in all the other posts how people say how benevolent the Phoenix 5 were by destroying all the weapons in the world. I see it as an act of tyranny as they completely removed the countries abilities to protect themselves against each other, extra terrestrial threats which are common in the Marvel U, and the Phoenix 5 themselves. That itself should be an act of war.
