DC's wiki page states that Bane can augment his strength to 3 tons, while Killer Croc is in the 5-10 ton range. On the other hand, I remember reading someplace else that Bane once snapped Killer Croc's arms with a bear hug, WITHOUT using Venom. So whom of them is stronger, really? Is Killer Croc in fact Batman's foremost physical adversary and not Bane? Also, if the wiki info is correct, does that mean Bane would be easily overpowered by Spiderman?

Just realized I didn't finish the last sentence of the first paragraph. Anyway, I was supposed to write: Would his identity be exposed to the public or would it be kept secret?

Just saw The Dark Knight Rises tonight and it was EPIC and in my opinion gave a perfect conclusion to an amazing saga. Made me think about how I would conclude film series about my other favorite heroes if it was on my table to come up with a story. If it was up to you to decide the story in the last Spiderman movie in a series, what would you have happen? Would you have Spiderman survive the final battle, or would he sacrifice his life to defeat his ultimate opponent like Ultimate Spiderman did? Which villain deserves to be the last enemy Spiderman has to face? Would he face a whole army of villains or just one particular? Would his identity be exposed to the public or

My own proposition is kinda a mix between Civil War and several other comic sagas: Spiderman is on the run from the authorities and his previous fellow Avengers as a result of taking the blame for a crime commited by someone else (perhaps Ben Reilly), much like in The Dark Knight. One of Spiderman's foremost villains, along with an army of other villains, takes all of Manhattan as hostage under threat of destroying the city if anyone leaves, turning the island of Manhattan into an isolated city state rules by criminals and supervillains with the US government unable to do anything. Having figured out Spiderman's identity, the villain reveals Peter Parker's secret to the public, and demands that the rest of the Avengers keeps out of the way in order to challenge Spiderman alone. The villain, perhaps Norman Osborn or someone who wants to complete his legacy, enlists several other supervillains to his army and uses them in his agenda, using Chameleon as a spy and to impersonate someone with authority to take control over Manhattan, Doctor Octopus' intellect to create a highly advanced bomb or similar, Venom and other symbiotes to keep the people of Manhattan in check under threat of feeding them to the symbiotes, Rhino for breaking into a high security base, Electro to short-circuit a security system, Mac Gargan to replace Spiderman, Curt Connor's research for some kind of biological weapon, Kraven to hunt down Spiderman to bring to him, Mysterio to create illusions to lure the NYPD into a trap, etc., giving villains who has appeared in previous films recurring roles in the last movie.

I feel that far more would have to be at stake in the last movie than just the life of those Peter Parker love, it would have to be a threat on a far bigger scale, threatening at least all of Manhattan, rather than just another saving a kidnapped Mary Jane battle. And the last battle would have to be EPIC, with fire, destroyed environments, you name it. Does this sound like a good idea, or do you have a better proposition? Do you already know a Spiderman comic event that you would like to see on the big screen as the final chapter of Spiderman's story? What would you like to see in a grande finale of a Spiderman series? Oh, and this doesn't have to be the last chapter of any existing Spiderman series, this might as well be a brand new series, the number of movies to precede it and the story of those movies is all up to you to decide so it can fit together with the story of the last movie. And if you would simply like to copy the story from an existing non-Spiderman supervillain movie and apply it to a Spiderman final, feel free to do so, this forum will probably never result in an actual script anyway (but one can hope).

I just saw a scan of Doctor Octopus casually using one of his tentacles to catch a knife thrown at him by the Punisher. Is that an unusual feat or does he have that kind of reflexes most of the time? What other reaction time feats does he have?

@Kaygan_Sorcerer_Supreme:

Unfortunately that's the trailer for the comic itself, would make an awesome movie though.

@CannotSpellMyName: A). i dont think he should leap over skyscrapers. several stories high is enough. hes not the hulk. he swings. its his thing. it would make his webshooters pointless and not very not very spider-like (i know spiders dont swing but still). hes not grasshopper man.

B). i think they explained that by saying muscles are not heavier but denser. thats why skinny guys like pete can lift 10 tons.

C). uumm shouldnt he have to have a strict diet to keep the physique? he doesnt have an accelerated metabolism. not flash. he eats like a regular guy but gets all the workout he needs through swinging around, villain battles.

hope i helped. a little.

A) Sure, it would take away a lot of the beauty of the character if he could jump over skyscrapers and I wouldn't want him to be able to, but he SHOULD be able to do it considering the raw physical strength he possesses so I'm wondering why he can't do it?

B) Doesn't denser mean that you also get heavier, as more mass is added to the muscle? For example, for Spiderman to be able to lift 10 tons, his muscles, bones and tendons would have to be extremely durable or they would crumble to gravel under the weight. And as far as I know, durable means hard means heavy. Or am I wrong?

C) Considering that Spiderman has a healing factor and can probably regenerate several pounds of flesh in mere hours, shouldn't he and all other superhumans with healing factors have to eat like horses to be able to sustain such a physique? Metabolism is useless without proper nourishment.

Sorry if I'm being too realistic, but I love to discuss superhero science, it makes the characters 10 times more interesting if their powers can be explained.

Most official sources say that Spiderman can lift approximately 10 tons. His physical strength also extends to his leg muscles, allowing him to jump several stories high. Considering this, I've got three questions about Spiderman's physical strength:

A) Considering that Spiderman is able to lift 10 tons and his strength also extends to his leg muscles effectively making him at least hundred times stronger than most grown up men, shouldn't Spiderman be able to leap over skyscrapers rather than "only" several stories high? Why is his lifting strength not proportionate to how high he can jump? Is it just because the writers wanted him to be that physically strong but thought that it would be corny and ridiculous if his jumping abilities were similarly enhanced?

B) Why is Spiderman, and most other individuals with super strength in comics, not heavier than normal humans although their muscles are hundreds of times more effective? Doesn't stronger muscles also get heavier? Has comics ever made any attempt to explain this?

C) Does Peter Parker have to eat large quantities of food to maintain his extreme physique?

If you know the answer or has a theory to only one of these questions, please don't hesitate to share them! And please, do not reply: "Because it's comics", I am perfectly aware of that fact, thank you very much.

I think most people agree that Norman Osborn is Spiderman's arch-nemesis, but while Osborn is well known as a criminal mastermind and frequent head of various supervillain groups, his alter ego the Green Goblin just doesn't seem like that much of a threat to me. Sure, he has his pumpkin bombs, his glider, superhuman strength on par with Spiderman and a somewhat durable suit, but if he faced say Iron Man in combat, I feel like it would be an effortless win for Iron Man. Same can be said if he faced Venom, Electro or many other Spiderman villains whom he has still bossed over as the leader of the Sinister Six and Sinister Twelve. After all, Norman should possess quite potent technology considering that his company OsCorp used to be a competitor to Stark Industries, which has developed new tech in forcefields, plasma cannons and other advanced weaponry, yet I've never seen Green Goblin use anything as sophisticated as force fields or most of the equipment Iron Man uses. Does Green Goblin possess technology that makes him able to challenge technological powerhouses like Iron Man and most superhumans? If the authorities sends the military after him, does he have any defence against missiles, electrical attacks, or even gunfire? Or does Norman mostly rely on hostages or other malicious plans instead of direct combat with powerful opponents? Also, if Green Goblin doesn't possess such technology, would you like to see him have it in future screen adaptions or do you prefer Green Goblin with somewhat less sophisticated Halloween-based technology?

Seriously though, yes there is and it hints about who the villain in the inevidable sequel might be, though I don't have a clue who it is because I didn't recognize him at all.
