Actually I am very smart, and granted elixer is an omega mutant, omega powers aer only "limitless" within a particular jurisdiction, I.e. Elixer's power is Bio Manipulation, meaning he can do everything, actual and theoretical with respect to manipulating biology. He cannot "create" biology only manipulate it. Your argument is akin to assuming Iceman will someday be able to create fire or that Jean Grey will develop an ability unrelated to telekinesis and telepathy, that's absurd. Elixer can only work with what's there, and thx to M-Day (until marvel decides otherwise) The X-Gene in those unfortunate to have lost their powers, does not exist anymore. Don't count on Elixer being able to fix that until or unless the status quo in their genes changes.
Wanda's M-Day Spell effectively removed/erased the mutant x-gene, it didn't supress it. So for all intents and purposes, for those who have lost their powers there is nothing left to heal.
