I was laughing very hard in the theater. It was hilarious. I could understand where some people will get mad, but that twist just had me roaring.

I was hoping for Power Girl.

God, Barb Batgirl is so lame.

How can people like this book? The only character I could relate to was the police officer, and the "heroes' were horrible people! Sure, they were trying to stop the corrupt cops, but they were screwing over an actual murder investigation?!
And I'm supposed to like the "movement"?!

I bet you that people only like this cause Gail Simone's name is attached. It was horrendous!

@that60sguy: BP needs his own movie. Don't just shove him into an Avengers film before explaining him.

@bluealchemist: I didn't read this book cause it just seems like grim garbage, but someone sent me that page, and I have to say, I laughed pretty hard.

At this point, A-Listers need to die unceremoniously if they make books like Avengers Arena made specifically to kill off Other characters with NO wrap up whatsoever.

@alkusanagi: She kicked butt at the beginning of issue 2, but then got captured. She just got rescued in issue 3.

@owie: I hear you, but I say keep an eye on the book and don't drop completely. Issue 5 and 6 promises a lot of female superhero guest stars, and the second arc is supposedly more one shots and shorter adventures.

Cullen Bunn also said that he wanted to use primarily female characters who aren't appearing in other books right now, which is why Dazzler and Kate Bishop were originally on the team, but taken out. Hippolyta was an obscure choice, but apparently Bunn choose her simply because nobody would expect her at all, and that she would set up future plot points.

I can understand the frustrations with the Doom Maidens, but I think the twist at the end of issue 3 will probably warrant their new creation.

Still, keep an eye out. Loa, Clea, Lyra, are hinted as possible future members!
