@ArturoCalaKayVee: Ah ha. Well, if that is the case, thats kind of lame. I mean, I am still going to read GL because I love it but I have really enjoyed the changes to all of the other characters (especially Superman and the whole Justice League) and it kind of sucks that GL has been left out in the cold, so to speak.

So here is the issue.

I have been a GL fan since Sinestro Corps War, have read every GL comic ever written in the meantime, but I gotta say I am having difficulty fitting GL into the new 52. I have read a bunch of the other titles and each of them seems to have numerous changes to the history of the title character... except GL.

The new GL series (and it seems Corps and Guardians titles too for that matter) seem to be just straightforward continuations of the pre-Flashpoint stories. This makes my head hurt because Flashpoint was supposed to change everything, hence the big kerfuffle about the new 52. And then I read Justice League #1 and its 5 years in the past but the GL is Hal and he has a ring and that continuity hasn't been explained in the current GL series and its just all confusing.

Is there some story arc that I am missing? Some issue in Corps and Guardians that explains this? Its really bugging me.

Arisia punched out a Guardian in GLC #47, so that leads me to believe that if it were down to a scrap between corpsmen and Guardians the corpsmen might take the upper hand by sheer numbers and surprise. Get a bunch of GLs in the Citadel and spring it on the Guardians all at once.

And the fact that Hal discovered the ability to break the programming means that others can find out too. It IS possible.
