That'd be interesting, but more interesting would be to see the Amazons' reactions to it. Can you picture Hippolyta coming to decapitate him and yet he's so calm and reconciliatory? That sounds workable, I think.

This is terrible. One of the few artists I really cared about, and the man's taken away like this. Why is it that the good ones who relly light up people's lives are the ones that are so cruelly taken awy well before their time? Seriously, there's no justice in this world. My heart goes out to his bereaved family and friends at this point.

I loved the way he drew Superman and Wonder Woman. In his loving hands, they really were perfection.

A shame that now vultures will be looking to profit from the great man's memory, since the price of all Turner merchandise is gonna go through the roof.. Let a legend's memory remain and let him rest in piece with dignity for crying out loud.

True, they're best friends in canon, but there's nothing really far-fetched about the idea of them as a couple. Let's just look past their powers for a while and pretend Lois is not in the equation shall we?

Sure, they're friends, but the DCU's littered with clues that there's something deeper, just beneath the surface.

I can understand them falling for each other. Similar goals and ideals. Their common mission. They're both compassionate and idealistic. But their personalities are different enough that it could work. I can easily picture her initially being awed by his godlike power, but then warming up to his humility and the open warmth. Plus she'd melt at his shyness. Not the practiced awkwardness of 'Clark Kent, bumbling nerd', but Kal's genuine shyness and boyish charm.

You don't have to 'imagine' the kids...

it's happened, at lest 4 times that i can count...

  1. Kingdom Come / The Kingdom - Jon - Child of Superman and Wonder Woman, the only being ever capable of navigating hypertime on his own, rumored to grow up to become the Phantom Stranger, nothing has been seen of him since though.

  2. Created Equal - Adam (multiples) - With all the men on Earth dead, it is upto Superman to repopulate the earth, starting with Wonder Woman, child grows up to be hybrid Kryptonian with about 70% Superman's power level

  3. Dark Knight Strikes Again - Kara - Daughter of Superman and Wonder Woman, has all of Superman's powers and more, including head blasts from her body as well as her eyes... unsure of other power levels

  4. Dangerous Fires - Bruce - Son of Superman and Wonder Woman, after a nuclear war only the Superhumans have survived, and they have all lost their powers. Bruce is the first child born to Superman and Wonder Woman and leaves Earth shortly before it's destruction in a rocket created by the Green Lantern Ring

there's probably more but those are the ones i remember off by heart.

Actually, the daughter in Dark Knight Strikes Again's name is Lara, not Kara. And the Adam with 70% of his strength in 'Created Equal' is his son with Lois, not Diana. Any child with her would definitely be much more than 70%. Just had to point that out.

And there's also the son they have in 'JLA: Act of God'. Can't remember if his name was John as well though. Anybody care to help me on this?

"Batman and Diana have chemistry. They seem like they would work out as strange as a match up as it would be. Also, Superman shouldn't be with her or Lois, he should be with Lana."
With all this talk of chemistry, I felt that in the JLU episode 'This Little Piggy', Bruce and Zatanna had way more chemistry in that one episode than he had with Diana in the entire series. The whole thing seemed forced, and her characterisation was way off. I can't imagine Diana flirting so desperately with anyone. And to make matters worse, Batman lover Timm completely sidelined Clark. I mean, come on, he's a person too, give him his due. The things they could do with his character if handled right, but no, they make him one-dimensional in JLU, and rather whiney in the comics. IMO that in JLU, the fling was there only because chiropterophile( that means bat-lover btw) Timm was compelled to make Bruce the alpha male. I find it unrealistic that he's potrayed as unbeatable when Supes actually does have a super-brain and photo-memory (For Tommorow anyone? Sure the story had more than its fair share of faults, but he was a bit edgier, more take-charge and even no nonsense with Diana. That's the Supes I wan't to see.) Just consider it, Clark wasn't even geeky in the animated series, yet Lois always poured water down his pants, and even fell for Bruce ?!? WTF?!? So they can put Bruce and Lois together for an episode, andeven carry thathistory into the comics, but Clark and Diana can't have some history pre-Lois?Remember WW141? The Trinity falls into a dreamworld, and her perfect world is being married to Clark and carrying his baby. And even once they escape the dream, she can't deny the tingling on her lips. There's definitely some chemistry there in the comics, something that was completely ignored in the animated series. Next time, put someone impartial in charge.
