I Just Completed My Neo Geo Pocket Color Collection!

It's not much, but it's every game I want for the system, and their all mine now! I just purchased a large chunk of games, completing my collection. My first wantlist completed for an entire system that wasn't a dedicated console:

  1. Bust-A-Move Pocket
  2. Dark Arms: Beast Buster 1999
  3. Fatal Fury: First Contact
  4. King of Fighters: R-2
  5. Metal Slug: 1st Mission
  6. Metal Slug: 2nd Mission
  7. Pac-Man
  8. Samurai Shodown! 2: Pocket Fighting Series
  9. SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium
  10. Sonic Pocket Adventure

For those of you wondering: I don't have Samurai Shodown 1 or King of Fighters: R-1 because they're far too expensive, and I'm not THAT big of a fighting game fan. So I have no interest in them.

I Got the Rest of the Early Thanos & Adam Warlock Issues I Needed

I recently bought the following early Thanos & Adam Warlock issues from the 70s:

-Avengers Annual #5

-Captain Marvel (1968) #29, #31-32

-Marvel Team-Up #55

-Warlock (1972) #1-2, #10-11, #15

I just got a lot of the rest of the issues I needed for the early Thanos & Adam Warlock issues from the 70s:

-Captain Marvel (1968) #27, 28, 29, #58-59

-Incredible Hulk (1968) #178 (I already had #177 in my collection and didn't even realize it was a part of this storyline)

-Marvel Premiere #1-2 (Featuring Adam Warlock)

-Strange Tales (1951) #178-181 (Featuring Adam Warlock)

-Warlock and the Infinity Watch #2

Now all I need to get my grubby paws on is Marvel-Two-In-One Annual #2, which is pretty pricey, it might take me a while to get this one for a good deal.

Abobo's Big Adventure - The Most Awesome NES Tribute Game EVER!

I just beat Abobo's Big Adventure. I played when I first heard about it a while back. But this was the first I'd played it since. Such an awesome game with such a great sense of humor and an obvious love for NES games. I HIGHLY recommend this one to all classic gamers that played on an NES, it's a MUST-PLAY, in every sense of the word.

Every level has a different NES game theme like a Mario underwater level, a Double Dragon level, a Mega Man level, a Contra level, and even a Mike Tyson's Punch-Out level.

Recent Comic Book Back-Issue Pick-Ups

Just picked up a bunch of the early Marvel Thanos stuff from the Bronze Age:

-Avengers Annual #5

-Captain Marvel (1968) #29, #31-32

-Marvel Team-Up #55

-Warlock (1972) #1-2, #10-11, #15

I can't wait to get them and read those bad boys, it's something I've wanted to read for a very long time!

I still need to pick up Captain Marvel (1968) #26-27 (Thanos origin), Marvel Two-In-One Annual #2 (this one is quite pricey, I might not get it), and Marvel Premiere #1-2.

What about everyone else? Use this thread to share your latest additions of joy to the collection.

If there already is a thread for this, then I apologize and ask if you could please provide a link to it for me. I looked on the search and couldn't find one.

What Game(s) Are You Playing Right Now?

I'm playing Elemental Gimmick Gear for Sega Dreamcast. And I'm REALLY enjoying it. It marries the gameplay of Legend of Zelda with the storytelling sensibility of a JRPG, and even throws in a sprinkle of anime-inspired cutscenes. Fantastic so far, and I can't wait to see what in store for me as I've barely begun the game.

This is quite the pleasant surprise, because I bought this in the $2.00 discs bin at the local used game/movie shop. So I expected it to be a bad game and I hadn't actually touched it for quite a while. If the rest of the game is as good as it has opened, then I'm in for a real treat.

Hey, What's Up? Newb Here.

Hey, what's going on? I'm new here, found the site through GiantBomb.com, where I'm also a newb. I love me some comic books. I've been a lifelong comic fan and have read comics since before I could even read. Started on my dad's collection. I'm not nearly 30, so a little less than 25 years as a fan of this hobby.

I'm mostly into DC Comics & Marvel Comics, super-hero stuff. I also read the occasional licensed movie or video game comic book, and particularly Star Trek comics. Some favorite characters/titles include (but not limited to): Green Lantern, JSA, JLA, Superman, Spider-Man, Venom, The Avengers, and Ghost Rider.

Outside of comic books I'm happily married, Christian, born and raised in Northern California, I'm a huge gamer (I especially love retro gaming and collect them), and a big metal-head. I'm also into sci-fi & horror movies.
