Another review I read said that Dick finally got his nemesis as Batman. In Batman and Robin, he had enemies, but nothing so personal like in Detective Comics. The new Batman met his own Joker, someone who is the complete opposite of him.
Scott Snyder is my favorite writer at the moment. His run on Detective Comics has been nothing short of incredible. I really hope we see James Jr. soon. It would be tragic for this epic run to end and have nothing brought up again 'cause of the new 52.
I'm in the minority. I generally enjoy Bendis' work. Sure it's not all wins, but I think the guy can really write group interaction well. Also I'm a huge Norman Osborn fan, so anything with him is a pick up for me. His mini-series is pretty great.
Terrific interview. Judd Winick is pretty awesome.
I got a question, if anyone can answer it.
I don't read too much DC. I keep up with select titles, like Batman and Green Lantern, and Flashpoint now. With this new 52 launch, are all of these books the only books out? There have to be some books not listed for getting a reboot, so do they just disappear or do they keep the run they are on? I hope this made sense :P
Same here. I am pretty bummed that Dick is going back to Nightwing, but at the same time I'm totally stoked that Bruce gets to be partners with his son. That should be interesting.
I'm warming up to this reboot/revamp/rewhatever more and more.
