@misteranderson: I thought about not including her on the basis of not being fictional, but the case for including her was far stronger :)

@bumpyboo I'm very excited that you added the often over-looked Zero Girl, as well as Daenerys! Nice! However, with respect to Marjane, I take exception with the declaration that she is the only real woman on this list. My dog chased Sandy Cheeks up a tree just yesterday.

Always liked Jean Grey and the Dark Phoenix Saga. I wished I didn't sell my X-men #101.

You are missing (IMO) the very best strong female character in all of Sci-Fi Film.  Jenette  Vasquez.  She more than holds her own when fighting in the Colonial Marines and when Hudson quips "Have you ever been mistaken for a man?" she responds "No, have you?"  Cannot be beat in the realm of Sci-Fi.  How about her final scene.  holding the grenade waiting for the Aliens to get closer so she can take as many as possible out with her.  Please let me know if I convinced you enough to add her.  I'm obviously passionate about her.  =)

@Samimista: Jean gets a raw deal. You're right - her own abilities are unsurpassed, and yet so much focus is placed on the Phoenix. And her deaths, and strong association with Cyclops: all these things detract from her real power. They say she is one of, if not THE greatest mutant ever to have lived, yet this does not get half as much attention as the Phoenix Force, or her relationship with Cyclops. It's like they want her to be great, just not too great.

Aww I like that you're like Bubbles - I'm more a Buttercup girl :D And since you asked, I am SUCH a gamer! A lot of the Final Fantasy characters are really capable and strong, I do like that about the series. The last game I played with a kick-ass female lead character was Alice: Madness Returns. I was obsessed with that for a while! :)

I'm looking forward to New X-Men that'll have the original X-Men from the past meeting their present selves. Gonna break my heart though when Jean learns that she died so many times in the future and what happened between her and Scott. =(

Ah! I've been wanting to play the original Alice game and then that sequel. It looks much darker than the other Alice In Wonderland takes.

Final Fantasy has great female leads. Rydia, Tifa, Aerith, Rinoa, Garnet, Beatrix, Rikku, Yuna and so on. This summer I was replaying Final Fantasy VII and X. Certainly miss Nobuo Uematsu's music. His was very moving throughout the series.

Even the male leads are wonderfully portrayed. I just posted in the Unpopular Opinion thread on how I don't see why Tidus gets so much hate. Sure, he can be a bit whiny but doesn't everyone have flaws? I thought he was well developed going from a womanizing teenager who was living under his father's shadow to becoming a mature young man who kept the spirits alive in the party despite a tragic secret he was hiding away.

Do you have a Steam account? I've made a ComicVine group on there but hardly anyone on here uses Steam.

I couldn't agree more with this list especially with Jean Grey. I can't stand that people hate on her just because of the many deaths. Don't blame the character, blame the writer.

Personally, I absolutely love Jean. If she rises from the dead I'd like to see her come back as an independent fierce woman who won't give Scott any time of her day for awhile.

I would like her to be a leader of a team featuring her, Storm, Rogue, Psylocke, Kitty, and Jubilee. And instead of focusing on the Phoenix Force I'd like the comics to focus on her telepathic powers.

Powerpuff Girls I grew up on and still love that cartoon to this day. Bubbles has always been my favorite since I can relate to being the sensitive little sister who loves animals.

Are you a gamer? There's a bunch of cool female video game characters. Especially in the Final Fantasy series.

Thank you very much :D Well there's just so much of the whole big boobs, tiny outfits thing in comics, I wanted a list girls could like too :) If I'd known about these girls when i was a kid, I would've gotten into comics a lot faster!
