I don't think being wary of a covid vaccine is the same as being some kind of extremist, or being anti science. Medical history shows us that mistakes can be made, and have been made. Testing is important, and it can take years for side effects to become apparent. So I don't think being against a relatively new vaccine being made mandatory before its safety has been widely demonstrated is necessarily a bad position to take.
