Recent issue showed the Great Society versus the Illuminati... was interesting to say the least. Personally, I think the Illuminati win because they have more heavy hitters.
@the_stegman: it was badly affected by constant crossovers since Trinity War which dragged it down. The first few issues were nice but I quickly lost interest because of the cross overs as there was just no connection between her title and the others. Phantom Strangers was better in that regard as they were connected to the main event. Pandora has the most flimsy of connections and all that time was just wasted which could have been spent in building her romance with Marcus and feud with Vandal. Such a shame.
@teerack: The only Lanterns are Kyle and Carol with the rest of the supporting cast being the Templar Guardians.
This is such a nice high concept book that I hope it survives. It tackles some great issues like what makes society plus it makes the Oans interesting.
I am wondering what kind of characters would be on the show since quite a few of them would be young. So, who from the comics could appear? I'm thinking Falcone, Hugo Strange and Rupert Thorne. Probably the Arkham's also. Might be nice to see the Court of Owls in the background. Potentially the Kane's, Copplepots and Elliot families? Anyone have any thoughts?
Lobdell's stuff just became convoluted that really dragged it down and some plotlines were just pointless as there was no resolution. Helspont was teased as this big bad villain but all he did was go 'hahahaha' and smack Superman before disappearing. I like Helspont and enjoyed his first appearance but the one in the Annual was just a waste of time. Having said that, there are some nice stuff he did like Cat Grant who was actually quite nice and hope Geoff doesn't wipe that away. Lobdell actually made me care about Cat Grant as Clark's friend.
@roastedray: yeah, I agree with you. Fans complain when heroes fight villains, they complain when heroes fight heroes. Marvel just can't win with some fans. I'm looking forward to this event. I like Remenders stuff, he's abut too liberal on killing characters and stuff but is a good writer.
