Black "Militants" of the comic world

A list of pro-Black characters who have struck fear into the bias side of comic books. Raise the fist up high for those who would be labeled as "militant".

List items

  • To start the list off we'll go with my brotha Muhammad X. He gets points for dissin super man in my book.

  • Though she may not have some form of distinct attire or attitude, Raquel is has very pro-Black views. She is really a character to truly br proud about.

  • The ever so blunt Wise Son. Holding it down out in Dakota.

  • A villain and an exetremist. Chose the wrong path, going the way of using his Black power to shroud his criminal ways.

  • Insane racist who used his racial pride as a psychological reason for his illogical hate. Sad really, he took the path of being counter-productive.

  • Originally a pro-Black militant with criminal ideas, Shades and Comanche would ultimately abandon their ideals to become simple crooks. Another waist of super Black, hero potential.

  • Originally a pro-Black militant, he would eventually abandon his ideals to form a criminal duo with Shades. Real sad because Comanche is a pretty cool cat on top of having super Black, hero potential.

  • Its not easy to be militant in the comic book world. Especially when you're in DC comics. The Amazing Men have struggled with proper exposure since their beginning.

  • Josiah Bradley lived a hard life of almost constant conflict, but came out a cool brotha with a heart for the struggle of his people. Right on, Josiah X!

  • Though not an actual militant brotha himself, Isaiah Bradley serves as one of the ultimate simbles for the "militant" brothas & sistahs of the Marvel Universe.

  • The Falcon's love interest, and reporter.

  • The concept that started it all. The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense were often labeled as "militant" for defending themselves.
