It would have been nice if Nightwing didn't get beat up, not once, but twice in this movie. First Damian beats him, even though in the last movie he beat Damian easily, and then Talon straight up owns him. They could have let Dick at least put up a fight against Talon. Dick is supposed to be almost as skilled as Bruce. Also, Dick and Damian are supposed to be buddies, they have been since the beginning, but in this movie him and Damian are at odds. This movie basically turned Dick into Tim.
"The brawl hinted at in last issue’s cliffhanger is resolved not just off-panel, but off-book. We open and the fight’s over before the first page has begun, and while it’s done artfully it is on the disappointing side that we didn’t get to see at least one knock-down, drag-out brawl."
There is no fight/brawl to see. It's clear on the 1st page that Batman crashed his plane into Bane. I don't know how so many people missed that. I've seen 3 reviews where the reviewer missed it.
People are saying that this is retconning Joker's history, it's not. This is New 52 Joker's history, this changes nothing about pre-New 52 Joker; just like Zero Year is New 52 and Year One is pre-New 52. New 52 is a different world and that means new and different stories that don't retcon the pre-New 52 stories.
@lvenger: You're right about the spoiler block, I fixed it. If this takes place before Hickman's whole run then that's really some weird continuity since his run started over 2 years ago.
