I think it will start with Thor waking up on Earth, getting imprisoned, fighting his way free, and then being questioned. This would lead to the audience getting treated to a flashback of the events that lead up to that point in time.
Let's be clear... musicals are never necessary. Neither is the Pamplona Running of the Bulls. They are simply a different form of entertainment some people will enjoy and others won't. It requires no further introspection than that.
Drake is Robin Grayson is Nightwing Todd is a villain Damian is a tool/super-villain in training Stephanie was a mistake Carrie isn't the same universe so I don't know why she was mentioned
Dick was the first and defining Robin, but Tim is who made poeple respect Robin in his own right, seperate from Batman. He owned the role. Dick could only do this by re-creating his image as Nightwing. Plus, Tim has proven to be as good a detective as Bruce. So, Tim is the best Robin.
I worry that if this show is going to go on for years to come, the actor that plays Rick's son will be a teenager by the time his character really comes into his own later in the series. What eventually happens to the boy mentaly is all the more powerful and tragic because of his young age, and it won't translate nearly as well if the character is much older. I wonder if they thought about that at all.
Still, I can't get enough of this series. I hope the 2nd season isn't too far away.
There is something slimy about using the status one gains through heroics to commercialize. For super heroes I think it's dangerous. Going down that route puts the world on notice that the hero is for sale just like any mercenary.
This is why I had such a problem with them using John as the cartoon green lantern instead of Hal. Exactly because of this reaction when a movie came out. Hal was the first Lantern, and he should have been used. Now the general public is confused. I don't even like Hal Jordan, my favorite lantern is Kyle, but for a movie or cartoon, Hal is the only choice in my mind. At least to begin with.
Look, I don't care what race a character is, as long as once the race of the hero is determined, they stay that race for good. Steel is black. Storm is Black. How would people take it if suddenly a movie came out and Storm was suddenly white played by Megan Fox or whatever 'IT' girl was hot at the time? What if Steel was played by a Japanese guy? I don't know about you, but I'd be pretty pissed off.
"The whole Batman Inc. idea is flat out dumb. Like Sara said - Batman is about him being a shadowy , urban myth figure and now they're trying to make him a public figure ? WTF is this crap ? The whole idea of Batman becoming Batman was so no one would have to do what he vowed himself to do. Now it's like he's endangering others. I was never really a big fan of him involving others in his personal vendetta. I always preferred Batman working solo. Don't get me wrong I love Batgirl, Robin and Nightwing they're great characters and part of the Batman mythos. But in reality if you were Batman you wouldn't get kids involved in the War on Crime. It's one thing training them so when they're adults they're ready when they're matured and to make the choice on what they want to do. And now that Bruce is saying he's funding Batman now it's like ringing the dinner bell for all of Batman's foes to come get him and his "family". Batman's rogues gallery is faaaaaar worst than Iron Man's villians. Like I said bad idea and bad storyline. That's why I'm not really buying any of the Batman comics. I've never been a fan of Grant Morrison's work anyways I think he's a bit overrated. "
I totally agree. Batman Inc. is the worst thing I've seen happen since I started reading Batman. I'm dumbfounded that DC went along with this concept.
