FANTASTIC FOUR #577 0

"Prime Elements" part 3. Written by Jonathan Hickman and drawn by Dale Eaglesham. Another great issue of the Fantastic Four. I recently just started reading FF but i found i really enjoy this series. I just wish that i had picked this series up before now. I feel like i missed out. Lol. In this issue we have some big changes for the Inhumans. And there is more to their origin and heritage then originally thought. We also meet a new Inhuman in this by the name of Dal Domac. He's a pretty cool cha...

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #627 0

"Something Can Stop the Juggernaut" part 1 by the great Roger Stern and Lee Weeks. Roger Stern is a fantastic writer. I was so stoked when i found out that he would be the one writing this 3 part story arc. I mean this is the guy who co-created the Hobgoblin. Not only does this arc have a awesome writer, but also an excellent artist. Lee Weeks art just looks amazing in this comic. I can't wait to see more of his art in the upcoming issues. But let me get past my praise and get to the reveiw. In ...

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #626 0

This issue is written by Fred Van Lente and drawn by Michael Gaydos. Gaydos is new to me, but i kind of enjoyed his art in this comic. His art has similarities to Alex Maleev, who by the way is a fantastic artist. This issue starts out with Peter entering his apartment he shares with Michele Gonzales and meets a shady character that Michele is assoaciated with. Micheles friend causes Peters spidey sense to go off so when the guy leaves Peter, as Spider-Man, tails him. And Spidey following Michel...

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #122 0

Issue #122 in the first volume of Ultimate Spider-Man by Brian Bendis and Stuart Immonen. Since the beginning of this series the Shocker has been made out to be a big loser, but this time around he actually shows how dangerous he really can be. He and Spidey fight at the beginning of this comic and the Shocker actually wins a fight for once and holds Spidey captive. Shocker takes Spider-Man to an abandoned warehouse and chains him up onto a rafter. During this Mj and Kitty Pryde try to figure aw...

DARK AVENGERS #15 0

This issue marks the second to last issue of this great series by Brian Bendis and Mike Deodato Jr. This issue takes place during and right after the events of Siege: Cabal. In the beginning we see Norman and Doom having a falling out, and Doom sends his lil' Doom bots to the Avengers Tower to kill the (Dark) Avengers. While thats going on Hawkeye(Bullseye) takes Lindy Reynolds onto a helicopter by his self during all the destruction. Then he does something very evil. and on the orders of Norman...

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #625 0

This issue of Amazing Spider-Man is by far my favorite comic in this series since Brand New Day started. The writing and art in this comic is superb. This is written by Joe Kelly and drawn by Max Fiumara. In the beginning of this issue we see Peter in the unemployment line. I didn't think i'd ever see that. Peter's character has def hit a turning point.  He has sacrificed his career, and all to save another man's professional career. But it back fired in Peter's face. So we have him trying to ge...

SIEGE #3 0

Issue #3 in this 4 part mini-series by writer Brian Bendis and artist Olivier Coipel. This issue was beautifully written and drawn. It took me like two hours to read this. Every page in this issue is just so awesome that you can't help to just stare at the art. Coipel def out did his self on this one. On just the art alone i would give this comic 5 stars. And i give Brian Bendis two thumbs up on the writing of this comic. I'm not going to say much about this issue so as to not spoil something fo...

BATMAN #697 0

"Life After Death" conclusion. This final issue in this arc by Tony Daniels was, in my opinion, a great read. I really loved the ending to this arc. It was well did and Tony Daniels ended it with a bang. In the beginning of this issue we have Batman and the Bat Family taking back gotham from the clutches of the Blask Mask and his allies. Batman chases Black Mask thru the underground of Gotham until he finally manages to confront him. And what a confrotation it is. Batman and Black Mask battle it...

ULTIMATE SIX #1 0

This mini series is written by Brian Bendis and drawn by Joe Quesada and Trevor Hairsine. The beginning of this issue is drawn by Quesada, and it's a beautiful few pages. It's a  prequel to the main story involving Electro and the Ultimates. It's a pretty cool scene. After that we see a S.H.I.E.L.D prison where four of Spidey's enemies are being held for tampering with their genetic make-up. We have Norman Osborn, Flint Marko, Otto Octavies, and Max Dillon. And we have a conversation in this iss...

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #8 1

"Crossroad" part 2. This is written by Brian Bendis and drawn by Takeshi Miyazawa. I have too say that i enjoyed reading this issue of Ultimate Spider-Man. I really didn't dig the last issue, but this issue really surprised me. So we have Spidey, Human Torch, and Iceman talking to the recently super powered Rick Jones. They try talking him into doing something good with his new powers. Like becoming a super hero. They even give Rick some ideas on some super hero names. I thought that was pretty ...

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #624 0

"Scavenging" part 2. This is written by Mark Waid and drawn by Paul Azceta. This is a great comic. One of my favorite issues so far in this "Gauntlet" thing. In this we finally find out this Vulture's origin. I thought that was pretty cool. This Vulture is def the most brutal out of all the Vulture's. I mean this dude will eat your face off. Lol. So in this we get a cool fight scene between Spidey and Vultch. One of the coolest fight scenes in "Amazing" in awhile i might add. And Spidey doesn't ...

BATMAN AND ROBIN #10 0

"Batman vs Robin" part 1. This issue is written by the great Grant Morrison and drawn by Andy Clarke. I read this and i loved it. This is a great start to this new arc. The art in this is beautiful. Andy Clarke did an awesome job drawing this. The story is also fantastic. Morrison knows how to write a great story that draws you in. Morrison and Clarke are both really good creators, and i look forward to the rest of this arc. But let me get to my review of this issue. In the beginning we have Bat...

ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR #20 0

"Think Tank" part 2. The conclusion of this arc we see Reed and Shona Burchill have a battle of the minds, and fists. Lol. Shona(the mad thinker) has defeated the FF and taken over the Baxter building. She has all the FF in an induced coma, all but Reed Richards who she shares her origin with. Come to find out she is one crazy lady. She is so crazy that she cut open her own brothers head to remove a part of his brain so she could add it to her own brain. Weird!! ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR #19 0

"Think Tank" part 1. This is written by Mike Carey and drawn by Jae Lee. The art in this issue is amazing stuff. It has a dark feel and look to it. So the beginning of this comic we see the FF flying back to the Baxter building in a helicopter coming from a mission that they had just had in the N-Zone. When they get close to their destination the helicopter dies on them sending them crashing down into the Baxter building. The FF do all they can to try to slow the bird down, which helps because n...

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #245 1

This classic issue of Amazing Spider-Man is written by Roger Stern and drawn by John Romita Jr. This is a really great comic, and fun to read. Classic storytelling at it's best. This issue also has one of the first appearences of the Hobgoblin. This issue marks  his 4th comic appearence. Which is really awesome. At the beginning of this we see "Lefty" Donovan recreating the accident that caused Norman Osborn to become the original Green Goblin. There is an explosion of course and "Lefty" gets ha...

"Gang War" part 1.  Written by Jim Owsley and drawn by Ron Frenz. The beginning of this issue we have the Kingpin missing in action and we have all these crime bosses looking to take over the Kingpins turf. There's also small time hoods looking to make a name for themselves with the Kingpin missing. There's guns blazing and people getting killed over this raging war between crime leaders. PETER PARKER SPIDER-MAN #75 1

"Revelations" conclusion. This comic by far is my favorite comic of all time. It's written by Howard Mackie and drawn by the great John Romita Jr. In this beautiful piece of art we have the return of the original Green Goblin aka Norman Osborn. We have Norman trapping all the people Peter cares about in the Daily Bugle building and having it rigged to blow and kill them all. We also have Peter finding out finally that he is in fact the original Peter Parker and not the clone. So Ben Reilly is ac...

BATMAN #686 0

"Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?" part 1. This issue is written by Neil Gaiman and drawn by Andy Kubert. The art is really ggod in this issue and Gaiman did a great job writing this. It's a really, really weird story, but nonetheless a great story. The story begins in the back of a bar in Crime Alley. We are seeing Batman's funeral in that bar. At the front of the bar letting people know to go to the back for the services is none other then Joe Chill. The person who in a way created Bat...

ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR #32 0

"Frightful" conclusion. Another great issue by Mark Millar and Greg Land. Alas this marks the last issue that Greg Land will draw. He was def the best artist on this title thru out its 60 issue run. Not very many artist out there can make you feel about art the way Mr.Land does. But let me get to the review of this fantastic issue. Reed(Doom) arrives at the Baxter building to get the alien out of Johnny and to send the zombie FF back to their own universe. Doom casts a spell over Johnny to get t...

"Frightful" part 2. Another great issue by Mark Millar and Greg Land. In this issue the Frightful Four escape from their cell and start to munch on the Baxter Building employees. These zombies are some cold blooded dudes to be sure. Dr. Storm is forced to quarantine off the top 40 floors of the Baxter and in doing so leaves dozens of men and women trapped with the monsters to be eaten. God, thats got to be a horrible way to die. After all this the FF meet Dr.Doom in Latveria to discuss a way to ...

It's so beautiful it hurts. Lol. In this issue we get to see the zombie Fantastic Four again, and they are up to no good of course. These guys are so damn creepy. Issue #1 of Ultimate New Ultimates by Jeph Loeb and Frank Cho is finally here! I've been excited about this series since i first heard about it a few months ago. And come to find out i was excited for good reason. This issue was a really, really good read, and the art was fantastic. Great job Mr.Cho.    Finally, the 5th issue in this series comes out! This is written by Mark Millar and drawn by Carlos Pacheco. Like the previous four issues in this series, this issue was a great read. I really enjoyed it and i even made this my first comic to read out of my pull list. I was excited about this finally coming out. In this we get a flash back story of the Red Skull. CAPTAIN AMERICA:REBORN #6 0

This issue marks the final installment in the "Reborn" mini series. I have to admit i wasn't that into this mini series. I mean don't get me wrong i'm excited and thrilled about Steve Rogers return, but this series just didn't do it for me. The art was fantastic, but the writing was kinda mediocre. In this final issue we see Steve Rogers get control of his body back and the Red Skull's mind goes back into his robot form. There's a pretty big battle and the Skull has the two Caps fighting an almo...

Part 6 in this amazing, beautiful mini series by Brubaker and Epting. With each issue this series just gets better and better. If your not picking this up your def missing out on something great. But let me get to my review of this issue. In the beginning of this we see the Human Torch looking for his creator. He manages to find his makers partner and meets Toro for the first time. "Blackest Night" two parter got me excited about this series again, and then this issue and the last have got me wanting to cancel this series from my pull list again even though i have been buying this since the first issue back in 2003. Teen Titans just hasn't been that good for about a year or so now, but for some reason i just can't stop picking this up. Spidey and Black Cat team-up! I've never been that big of a fan of Black Cat but she was done really well in this issue. I enjoyed seeing her in this issue. Spidey and Felicia go off on an adventure to Mr.Negatives pad to get the vial of blood he had of Spidey's. Which is a successful mission. But Spidey does get beat around by Mr.Negative though. We also see Aunt May in this issue. She's still being an ass. Lol. I hate to see Aunt May like that. She was always so sweet. I hope she goes back to ...

DARK AVENGERS #14 1

Issue 14 in this great series by Bendis and Deodato. In this we see Victoria Hand talk Norman Osborn into seeing a psychotherapist. Victoria Hand also takes out Ms.Marvel(Moonstone). That was pretty awesome. Victoria has become somewhat of a bad ass since the start of this series. But the best part of this issue is when the Sentry goes berserk and starts destroying New York City. Wow! Norman confronts Sentry and talks him down before he does too much damage. And Norman finds out that the cause o...

THE ULTIMATES 3 #3 0

The 3rd issue of the Ultimates 3. Another great issue by Jeph Loeb and Joe Madureira. In the beginning of this issue Wolverine confronts the Ultimates. Wolverine is at the Ultimates mansion a whole three seconds before he starts to fight someone. Lol. He says the wrong thing to Hawkeye and we get to see a short brawl between the two heros. This is the first issue in the 3rd volume of the Ultimates. It's written by Jeph Loeb and the art is done by Joe Madureira. The art in this comic is fantastic. I love it. In the beginning of this issue we see that a sex tape of Tony Stark and the late Natasha aka the Black Widow has leaked to the press. That doesn't bode well with Starks frame of mind. ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR #6 0

Brian Bendis, Mark Millar, and Adam Kubert bring this first story arc to it's conclusion. The Fantastic Four, all together now, fight together to defeat the Mole Man and his minions.
