@rustyroy: extremely high-tech amour makes sense in a video game. Gamers, my self included, want epic boss battles against huge and powerful foes, which is exactly what rocksteady gives us. Also, it's not uncommon to have a huge combo interrupted by some thug unloading a machine on you. To go toe-to-toe against huge, super-powered rouges, and the beat-'em-up style part of the game, it makes sense to have high-tech armour. I hope they don't add any crazy abilities to the suit. Super-protection I'm down with, but I don't want high-tech "powers".
However, in other, less interactive, forms of story telling, writers can come up with endless strategies as to how Batman can overcome the biggest of challenges with willpower and intelligence. This is one of the things I find most interesting about Batman. His gadgets and tech are best used for evidence collecting and mobility. I dislike it when writers rely too heavily on the tech as the solution. If I wanted to read about how a guy used tech to defeat an enemy, there's other books.
