Overall this was a little better than I expected. Still too cliched for my tastes. Wonder Woman venting to a friend that Clark is keeping their relationship a secret is kind of odd. I don't see that fitting her personality. Also that almost-sex-scene was just kind of gross. I don't want to think about Supes and Wondy doing the deed, sorry.

I really like Forever Evil... And I really like Infinity... Why the conflict, guise?

I'm going to be pretty upset if they brought in all those new members just to kill them all immediately. Seems like it'd be a huge cop-out to me; I was ready to see a whole new dynamic. That aside, I like that they're bringing the walkers to the forefront again as a viable threat.

The destruction of the Justice League Watchtower happened back in Issue #20; Despero took it out. That's when Atom(ica) was able to get the sliver of Kryptonite that she used on Superman in Trinity War.

Some of the complaints here seem a little strange. In 'The Bad' section, you list: "But now we're told the Justice League is dead? When did this happen? When will we find out 'how' and when?" These are undoubtedly questions that will be answered, most likely within this event. So the fact that these questions aren't addressed up front doesn't necessarily seem like something to worry about. I think it adds a great layer of mystery/suspense.

Otherwise, good review! I'm giving this one a 5/5. I was enamored. This is honestly the level of quality I was hoping for/expecting out of Trinity War. Finch's art was really bad in some spots though...

Nope. I'd honestly rather have Wondy get another series on her own. Sensation Comics, or the like. One where they could bring back some of the old adventure heroism and old rogues gallery without intruding upon the magnificence that is Azzarello/Chiang's main title.

If he plays it anything like Steff from Pretty in Pink or Robert California from The Office, I'm expecting an expertly diabolical performance.

I realize that the Aquaman #23 solicitation and previews read that it would be the conclusion to the 'Death of a King' storyline but I think that has since been changed. The solicitation for November's Aquaman #25 reads "THE EXTRA-SIZED CONCLUSION TO 'DEATH OF A KING'!" So I guess the storyline got extended. (Nothing but good news to me, the story seemed to need some more time to unfold.)
