@guru_crack: The problem is that I don't know who to read, like I said. If I knew character, I'd look up online where to start reading. I did want to read Beast Boy's origins but tracking down the old stuff is hard.
@mercy_: Oh. You mean the Marvel Captain Marvel? I thought you meant the DC Captain Marvel, aka Shazam. I have never really heard much of Marvel's Captain Marvel...
I was reading a lot of Image comics, such as Robert Kirkman's Invincible, but being creator-owned and controlled means they can be unreliable. Of seven series, only two of them are still going and one of them (Invincible) is delayed so often that we only get around three or four issues per year it seems. I'm now out of comics to read!
Any suggestions for what I should read then? I'm currently enjoying DC's new Teen Titans series, after its recent relaunch, and Marvel's Nova series with Sam Alexander. Otherwise though, I've not really managed to find much that I like. A lot of superheroes seem too perfect, which is why I tend to read stuff like Teen Titans. I like series that actually show the character behind the mask as it were and aren't just focused entirely on superhero beat-ups. Ideas?
I've been reading the new run of Teen Titans, which is pretty good, and Nova and Invincible on the Marvel/Image side of things. Any other recommendations for teen superheroes? Also, out of the Teen Titans, I really like the character of Beast Boy. Any recommended reading for him?
So far, as still a relative newbie to comics, Image has delivered my two favourite series: Robert Kirkman's Invincible and Jimmie Robinson's Five Weapons. I've also enjoyed reading the other superheroes within the Invincible universe, such as The Astounding Wolf-Man and Tech Jacket. Besides Savage Dragon, which I intend to move onto later as there are simply so many issues, what else should I be reading? What's some of the best Image has to offer? If there are any series similar to the ones I have listed, then please do tell also.
