trying to convince the IRS that the X-Men and mutants should not be considered mutants humans.
Anyway I realize this is a slow news week and it's a fine topic to discuss (isn't Nightcrawler more of a demi-human in fantasy parlance?)
But seriously, we all know the original article is about getting a tax loophole. Right? It has nothing to do with the fiction, and Marvel's lawyers are not going to edit the Compendiums to satisfy the IRS. Right? That's true right? Oh Jesus...
@G-Man: Excellent article Tony 'G-Man' Guerrero, former math teacher. ;)
I do tend to enjoy the simplicity of characters who don't have a double life, because it focuses on the adventure. You know what Captain America is about. And he knows what he's about.
But the flaws and weaknesses of Spidey, Batman, and absolutely any mutant who wears civilian clothes are more interesting reflections of reality, and a judgmental society where a right to privacy should be respected, but isn't.
Especially if you can sue somebody for not stopping a meteorite from falling on your car.
As for the movies, meh. Saying they'll go downhill just shows you have a short memory. Remember when Captain America went straight to video? Hell, remember Ghost Rider? I'm pretty sure they won't get that bad again because of the merger. The farther they can wrest creative control from Stan Lee the better things will be. But imagine the possibilities for Kingdom Hearts 3...

Why else would he only take female companions? Take the Titanic episode for example, he's all up for taking a hot waitress who kissed him on as a companion, but when the smelly old man asks if he can tag along, he's all "I travel alone."
Wow, I see the joke you're getting at, but you seem to not know your Who history, or even the current series apparently. All of these "formal" companions are male, if not all human, or long lived.
