are people seriously complaining this has comedy in it? what did you expect? read the comics, theres comedy in them too. This is one of the few CBMs im fine with comedy in it

I have read every issue of the DnA series, and yes, it has humor, and it can be funny. What it does not have is derpy dude-bro humor, which this movie has. The problem is not humor, it's that Marvel keeps putting in bad humor worthy of stuff like Transformers, instead of funny timely humor like in Iron Man 1.

It's not that "humor" is bad, it's that the last couple movies Marvel had made have had bad humor in them. Iron Man 1 had some funny lines, but it wasn't corny cringe-worthy humor like Darcy and Ian that detracts from the movie.

Having humor is ok, but when the humor over powers the movie, and you have people telling jokes during serious scenes, it just becomes annoying.

Meh

I love DnA's 2008 Guardians comic, it's one of my all time favorite series. I haven't read the Bendis series, because I don't read Bendis. I'm guessing this is based on his series way more than DnA. It has that same corny feel that his comics, Iron Man 3, and Thor 2 have.

@d_knight I doubt there'd be any harm in reading the prequel first. You might miss out on the little moments I had like "hey there's ______!!!" when you see the different characters cameos, but I'd say go ahead and pick up the series. It shouldn't be too hard to follow it.

And I'm so glad they got J.H. Williams III to do the art. He's one of the best artists in the industry and fits so well with the Sandman.

Not even going to read this. The last several events like Fear Itself, AvX, and Age of Ultron have been such terrible wastes of money, that I'm skipping this. Only way to make Marvel stop with the bad events every few weeks is by not buying, so that's what I'm going to do.

Based on this promo art, the Inhumans don't have much to do with this, since there's only 2 of them even in the art, and they're off to the side of the promo. It's another Iron Man and Wolverine event lol. (With Angela because they think people care about her)

if Gaiman wrote GoG I'd read it. Loved DnA's run on it. But Bendis holds me back. This will still be a Bendis GoG story, just with Gaiman's name on it I think.

Also, let's be honest, NO ONE cares Angela is in Marvel. No one was even talking about that character or asking for her to appear again before it was revealed she was coming to Marvel. Marvel is really hyping a side character from 90's Spawn, and no one really cares.

@redheadedatrocitus: Well I wouldn't count on it. This movie is starring "Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, and Anthony Hopkins as Odin" according to that poster. Interesting that Christopher Eccleston's name isn't on there.

Speculation among alot of fans was that Malekith would be the main villain, but Loki would have some roll as well. Kind of odd that Eccleston's name then gets left off the poster if he's the primary antagonist. Makes me wonder how much he'll be in it. Nothing again Loki, he's been a good villain, but we've seen him twice now and I was hoping to have him be more of a side role this time around, with alot of Malekith. Starting to doubt that's going to happen though.

I'm assuming this will be Duela Dent, also that she is wearing a mask.

"Drax, Groot, Rocket Raccoon and Gamora," plus Star-Lord in issue one. Why those 5? Because they're gonna be in the movie!

It's a shame how Bendis and the movie based on his comics have completely forgotten about Adam Warlock, Phyla-Vell, Moondragon, Bug, Mantis, Cosmo, Major Victory, and Jack Flag, in favor of sales from randomly sticking Iron Man on it. (Even though a couple of them are dead, so were Star-Lord and Thanos, so Marvel could bring them back again if they wanted.) It wasn't supposed to be super-mainstream with famous characters. If Bendis understood DnA's run, he'd realize it was about a bunch of lesser known and no-name heroes all getting stuck together. But instead we're getting the movie roster.
