Top 9 Current Must-Read Comics

Top 9, because double-digits are too much work.

In theory, this list will get updated to actually stay "current."

It doesn't seriously need to be said that this is all just my opinion, does it?

In some particular order:

Great list. Never been a big fan of Justice League though. The thing that really bugs me about Morrison's run on Batman is that it's way too similar to Captain America. I feel like Morrison read some of Brubaker's Cap stuff and thought it'd be cool if the same thing happened to Batman.

This has already been adressed.

Horray! I've finally found someone else with Spidey as his favorite character. Just curious though: did you swear Amazing Spider-Man off because of One More Day/Brand New Day? Because I stuck with Spidey after that, and I actually liked some of what I saw. Mostly I thought that Spider-Man: The Gauntlet was really good, although it was weighed down by terrible art, I still really enjoyed. Best Post-OMD thing Spidey's done in my opinion. As for everything else, well...I liked seeing Peter and Felicia in bed together

Yeah, One More Day/Brand New Day was a big part of it. Another part is that it just bothers me to see Spider-Man used as such a team player in the Marvel Universe with him simultaneously a member of the Future Foundation and two Avengers team. I like my Spider-Man not having access to some of the heaviest hitters in the Marvel Universe via quick text message. I like him as an underdog outcast. Then, there's Dan Slot. I'm not particularly a Dan Slott fan. I'm sure his Amazing Spider-Man work is probably among his best stuff, but for me, that's really not saying a whole lot.

I have checked out some random issues and story arcs of the book. I liked some of it, but it just wasn't enough to get me back. As close to as I get to reading Spider-Man comics these days is the side stuff like Zeb Wells' Carnage and probably Yost's upcoming Scarlet Spider. Or like I've said on this list, Ultimate Spider-Man.
