I think they need to learn from this election and nominate someone like Bernie and not someone like Hillary. The country in most ways is now aligned with the beliefs of someone like him, and contrary to what the Republicans says, the country is quite liberal in many issues. I think Bernie is just too old to run again in 4 years, but if they find someone like him I think the Dems will win big.

@bluehope: Because any negotiation is about leverage, if you don't have any leverage you don't have any power to negotiate. Putin has already done some hostile things to NATO, like advancing into Crimea, destabilizing the governments in countries that are NATO allies, what makes you think he doesn't want to intervene even more in our alliances. Trump even said that he wants to work with Putin to defeat our enemies, what you think Putin is going to do this out of the goodness of his heart without getting anything in return? Tell me how has Russian intervention in Syria helped the situation any? Syria is still a major , flash point, they are killing Christians by the thousands daily, hospitals are being targeted by a murderous dictator, everything about the regime is anti-American.

@bluehope: Again, its never been stated that Marvel's gods powers are innately magical that I know of. Its been stated the Destroyer can kill Odin though who is galaxy+ level. I don't think SBP has the power to harm the Destroyer personally.

@destinyman75: I think in Syria we are going to see some major flash points, and it's not going to get resolved anytime soon. Vlad is playing Trump like a fiddle, he says that he is going to help us defeat our enemies there, but then again he pledged the same thing years ago and it hasn't come to fruition. Vlad is going to use the terms of his cooperation as leverage to weaken our position with NATO, and to try to get rid of the sanctions against him.

@Tamarstevens: Well, technically, Darkseid isn't in the DCU. He just doesn't have the limitations Trigon does upon trying to enter it. I've always wondered where Trigon's universe was at. We know that the 4th world exist on the edge of the multiverse. But yes, Trigon is far more powerful than Darkseid. He's just been far less successful in achieving his goals. That is probably because Darkseid is favored far more by DC than Trigon is. The Anti-monitor is more powerful than both of them (except for maybe Soul Fire Darkseid). Also, the Spectre varies incredibly in DC. The only thing I can find comparing the two is the Monitor talking about the levels of power indicating a specific type of being. They included Superman in the description and he wasn't far behind them. I feel that the Spectre is far more powerful than Trigon. The only reason he had trouble with the Anti-Monitor was because magic didn't really work in the Anti-Matter universe. Hence why the Spectre couldn't really help.

@bluehope: Its not really clear if its powers are magic based. Its power comes from all of earth's Skyfathers putting a fraction of their power into it. It can also do molecular rearrangement and other things.
