CosmicBookNews has posted some interesting rumors surrounding the Justice League movie.

• Superman is essentially the same character from Man of Steel, and Zack Snyder is consulting regarding the writing of the character.

• Batman: The strategist of the group. Batman doesn't really want to be involved with these super powered beings he considers too powerful. Easily the most complex written.

• Wonder Woman: She has only been in man's world a few short months. The Wonder Woman script MichaelGoldenberg is developing will be set before the Justice League movie.

• Green Lantern: Will be Ryan Reynold's character from the Green Lantern movie, but will be freshly written with a more serious tone.

• Flash: The most popular hero in civilian eyes who loves media attention, but when called upon is very serious.

• Martian Manhunter: Alien who has lived on Earth in secret for over a hundred years who has knowledge of Darkseid and his reign.

• Aquaman: Will be the King of Atlantis who has a key role in the film.

• There will also be a heavy military presence in the film which in future rewrites could include characters featured in Man of Steel or even Amanda Waller (Angela Bassett) of which neither are included in the first draft.

• Alfred Pennyworth is in the film in a minor appearance.

• Lois Lane is also in the film in a cameo.

• Darkseid's Elite will be featured who go up against the Justice League early on in the film.

CosmicBookNews has in the past posted correct information about certain films prior to their release so it is possible that there could be some truth in this, however they have also been wrong on several occasions so I'd take this with a pinch of salt for now. What do you think?

Awesome thread. I always thought that Wonder Woman and Aquaman are quite similar in that they both have super strength, experience in close range combat; Aquaman with his trident and Wonder Woman with her sword. Not to mention both have strong ties to existing mythologies, Aquaman with Atlantis and Wonder Woman with amazonian/greek mythology.

I don't want Nolan's universe being incorporated into a shared DC cinematic universe. It just wouldn't work.

@Onemoreposter: Haha, I'd hardly call David Cameron 'grit' :P

But yeah, I completely agree with what you're saying.

My biggest fear with having 7 members is that the movie will just turn into the Superman, Batman and (possibly) Wonder Woman show. Leaving other characters such as Flash and Green Lantern with the short end of the stick.

People seem to be forgetting that the power ring grants the user a near infinite amount of knowledge of the universe and nothing in the movie suggested otherwise. So Hal has Hulk beaten when it comes to intelligence.

@colonyofcells: Sorry but that age-old argument of characters being too powerful is just ridiculous. Any story that features a powerful protagonist will feature a more powerful antagonist. This is just a way of adapting a story or situation to better suit the characters. In the case of the Justice League, characters will always have something to do, writers will always find some way making them useful. If you've ever read a Justice League comic you would see that, and honestly 99% of the time it seems very naturalistic and not at all forced.

You can never have too many superhero films, plus it's Warner Bros. were talking about so you can hardly afford to be picky :P

As much as it pains me to say, I think The Flash's greatest exposure, in recent years, has come from The Big Bang Theory. Whenever I mention Flash around my friends they always reference a time one of the characters dresses as The Flash. But even though you still see the lesser known characters in comics, animated films and games, they will still remain largely unknown to the general audience unless they are pushed into bigger media formats. For example take Thor and Wonder Woman, two very similar characters, most people will still be able to tell you more about Thor than Wonder Woman despite the fact Wonder Woman has been present in nearly all depictions of the Justice League in all of their different media pushes.
