Top 10 Favorite Story Arcs

My favorite stories, arcs and events in all of comics

List items

  • This is just a quintessential Batman Story. Everything in this story works and works well. Batman is being hunted by a new mysterious foe who seems to know his identity. Everyone is involved from Superman to The Joker. Hush is a great villain and probably the best new Batman villain of the last ten years. The real best part is the reveal of the true mastermind. I won't tell you who it is but I will say I was genuinely shocked. Fans of Batman will love this story and you should all be reading it.

  • This ongoing title is probably the best comic book series I have ever read in my life. This is Darkwing Duck at his absolute best. Negaduck returns with more power than ever before and it's up to Darkwing and his friends to stop him. It's a shame the series had to end but it went out with a bang.

  • Spiderman was at his absolute best when he was written by J. Michael Straczynski and drawn by John Romita Jr. To quote Spiderman's second best writer, 'Nuff said.

  • Do I even need to say anything, It's the freaking Phoenix Saga. It's a Chris Claremont Classic.

  • The first three issues of this series are pure gold. I love how it criticizes the youtube generation. It mirrors my hatred of shows like Jackass. It's got great ideas, a new Olliver Queen who's grown on me, and a bright future.

  • I really loved this mini-series, It's great character development for both Eddie and the Punisher and it really is a ton of fun.

  • This entire run is awesome. I love Deadpool, but he was so much better when he was paired with Cable. Every arc is great and handled by the skillful writing of Fabian Nicieza. I may not like Rob Leifeld, but he gave the world a real gift when he created these two characters.

  • This is just a crazy as hell story. A man pleads insanity to embezzlement charges and is sent to Arkham and the inmate quickly make his life a living nightmare. This is a disturbing comic that by the end has everyone going insane including the reader.

  • The Joker at probably his most disturbing. We see one possible origin for the criminal but it doesn't matter because we know it's probably made up. I love this story.

  • This may be number 10 on the list, but that's only because I don't think it's fair to put it at number 1. It would sort of be like Lebron James playing for a junior high school basketball team. This is not only my favorite comic book of all time, but it is also my favorite book and movie of all time.
