Ummm I have never seen a speedster have a problem with a green lantern. I barry's old run, professer zoom had taken his identity and beat the shit out of GL. The problem is that the ring moves and creates things at the speed of thought....and flash is many times faster than that. It was like in red son where the russian superman beat the shit out of hal and all the GL's.

Basically John Stewart has no way of hitting flash in a 1 on 1 fight. He's just too quick...
