A super issue!!! 4 stars 0

I felt like this issue deserves 4 stars because the artwork match the story perfectly and the story was very action pack and exciting. The story had that typical old war spy movie feel from the days of the 1940's. Where the soldier is sent in to infiltrate and spy on the enemy but it ends becoming the enemy becasue he fell in love.  Even though days of movie story telling are done with, the story was still told very well. HERE'S AN EXTRA TIP: For those of you who are planning on collecting the I...

not sure if this issue was a good use of my time? 0

I give this story 2.5 because it only revealed three things1. how the skrulls were able to cloak some skrulls as spys and others as suicide warriors/sleeper agents like Ironman and Captain America and all the other retro looking Avengers.2. It revealed how the disguise skrulls were able to retain its targets memories, which I found extremely scary.3. That Mocking bird is a fake.I think the most important fact of all is the color of the cloak or cloth (whatever they use) they use to transform the...

A slightly better issue than Issue #3 1

Now keep in mind if this review is written sloppy is because I'm suffering from a hangover. After leaving my 10 year absence from comic books, I finally found out what a tie-in really means. keep in mind I'm old school, so back in the 90's crossover events had two ways of operating1. A mini-series format.2. The Saga ran across several different titles with each title being part of the core story. What I like most about this issue is that it actually shows how Ms. Marvel finds herself pinned down b...

Awesome Book!!! A Great First Issue for a Great Start 0

Let me tell you something this is the first Frontline issue I have ever read and so far it is awesome. The story is exactly like the advertisement says from the point of view of the civilans and citizens of New York city.  One of the greatest things I like about this issue is that many of the characters in the story constantly mention "how long they have lived in New York city and how they have heard many news stories about Marvel's heroes but never have seen them in real life until now." Some o...

A must have for all Wolverine Fans before Circa 96 0

If your a huge Wolverine fan before the days of the Onslaught saga then your going to love this comic. I found this comic answered many of the questions that were presented in the Marvel Universe Trading Card Set of 1993-94, and The Wolverine trading Card Set of 93.I believe the entire Wolverine Origins Storyline will reveal many answers to many lonterm fans of Wolverine.I found it very interesting as to the type of life Daken had during his childhood and adolescents years. He seem to me to be a...

A Classic Hulk Smash Story!!! 0

If your a big Marvel fan like myself or just a big hulk fan period your'll appreciate this story for it represent two hulks fighting each other in classic Hulk style!!!  I found myself entertain by the commentatory between the Red and Green Hulk. The dialogue reminded me of the 2nd Hulk vs. Hulk battle where Cunning Gray Hulk  fought against Savage Green Hulk inside Banners Mind.  Even though Grey Hulk would never use a Gun like the Red Hulk does they both are pretty cunning and witty with their...

Looking forward to next issue!!! 2

While still being a newbie to DC Universe, I found that it was a little hard to keep up with everything that was going on in the story. Perhaps if I was not a DC newbie I would be able to follow every detail in the story.  As Inferiorego said before me "Still setting up the big story of the year". What liked most about this issue is in spite of everything that is happening in the story from the Monitors, Libra's Villian Society, Darkside Club, death of the orion, and death of Jonn Martian Manhun...

The best Justice League issue I've read thus far! 0

Its rare I give any issue the five star rating because frankly I normally see areas of improvement for the creators to capitalize on. But this one deserves the 5 star rating. What I really like about this issue is that it explores two characters (Red Tornado and Vixen) who are both going through some difficult times. While this going on Zatanna, Batman, and Henry Irons are working on a experiment which I found to be a great scene that blended both science fiction and fantasy elements. In additio...

It is Clear! Brand New Day was created to please Quesada's Ego 0

This was my very first copy I read of the Brand New Day timeline.  I found reading this comic was just like reading a Spiderman comicbook from the 1970's. There's only one problem with that WE ARE NO LONGER IN THE 1970'S ARE WE?!!!!It was clear to me that the writers were trying to bring back some of the storyline elements that were considered popular in the 1970's. Elements like romantic drama and romantic comedy were very popular to use in science fiction comicbooks during the 1960's and 1970'...

love the art but not the story 1

What I did not like about this story was towards the end of the book, the villian Kanjar Ro explain his diabolical plain to the Justice League just like the villians did back in the Golden Age of comics. Not only was this approach out of date, it just did not seem pratical or realistic anymore. In real life a villian will not explain his plan to his hostages, hell no!!  Not only was the villian lame but also the captured heroes just hang there lisitening to the villian with no thought balloons o...
