Stereotypes didn't come from total nowhere. Its just that when you apply them to an entire group, and worse, exaggerate them, then they become what we think of, now.
@ecstaticgrace: The fact that he was affected in the slightest is impressive because he was taking hits from Superman. Otherwise he wouldn't have even felt Aquaman hitting him.
@cubex: I thought bounty was equal to threat level, not necessarily strength, which was why Eustass Kidd bad a higher bounty than Puffy, considering he causes a lot of unnecessary civilian deaths and casualty damage?
@watcher_killer4: I completely agree. The comics version of Cyborg has always gone with the "am I a man or a machine" part of his character for longer than it needs to be done.
The cartoon version had bits of it, but he didn't angst in it all day and night. He was a fun character, a complete bro, and he was easily the most mature member of the team who knew when to get serious.
I'd easily read that version of Cyborg in comic format.
