So far I must say I'm enjoying the Winter Soilder book more than I expected. I worked at a comic shop for a couple of years back durring many of the marvel major crossover events that were going on including the Death Of Cap. I heard fantastic things of the Bucky's run as Cap and enjoyed his appearences in books i was reading at the time. though most Obviously i'm appreciative of the partnership that has been displayed between he and The Widow. I enjoy picking up any book she's in although it does make a serious differences when she written seriously as opposed to a thrown in to a team because of all the cross promotional material for the movies.

But how does everyone else feel about this Dr. Doom filler and again why is he everywhere right now? And I'd really love it if someone could tell me when and where Nick Fury began acting like...well Nick Fury, and what agency are they all working for? Is SHIELD back or is it just, i dont know, "we'll get to that stuff after this AvX thing is over"

Having Read it, I'd say issue number two was better than one, Nat is demonstrating why she is to never be underestimated. The pacing is better, the art flows with the tone, and we see her less of guess appearence. Issue One i found to be clumsy and while i understood the need to draw the reader in to the mystery and set up the story there was nothing that imediatly griped me the way Guardians did without even trying.  Nat can sell a book and there are many many stories that can be told for the fact that she does go more periods of time in between appearence and spots on teams before the past few years, and She has been a agent of SHIELD, throughout, a genre and factor not really touched on too much by other characters.

It would make no sense if she didnt get involved. She's apart of that Shadow-World. Daredevil and Pundisher, and Iorn Fist for that time carried on that Marvel Knights Legacy its like a big-time blowout and its missing its red-headed step-child lol.

Hmmm, I understand what DC is trying to do but. Im not flattered, maybe a Fan vote on different drafts would have worked better.

The jacket needs to go,And so does the Black. the bracelets and the bodest is cool. Necklace is nice. Her original boots werent bad, maybe akward and ill-designed but that theme could be translated over to the leggings in some way, And if they wanted to cover the shoulders they could have extended the Bodest to the Gauntlets.

She's Ment to be iconic and A warrior. Of the Three She's the Most Iconic based off a classical Archetype. Now she's a modern muddled Cliche.

Honestly, Donna Troy's Costume is and Always has been awesome. Its Heroic, Practical and Stylistic and she looks gorgeous in it.

@Tom Pinchuk:
i
Obviously we know what i'd say.

but Scarlett as widow no for solo i dont believe she could evoke the character complexties that would be nesscary for a solo Widow movie not to bomb.

Give me the original contracted actress of Emily Blunt and let Scarlett do AVE. While Blunt does the BW. The movie could bomb but then it could be real good. It would take creativity, and abandonment of some fallback characteristics of Bad Girl Movies.

anyway im not looking foreward to IrnM2. i hope im pleasently suprised.

Okay guys as the most biased memeber here i too will offfer my two cents and frankly set the record straight.,

1) i think we can all agree theat the new avengers was a semi cool concept driven terribly wrong by the combined, civil war, secret invasion, and now dark reign nonsense. the team is pretty flat lacking any real diversity that would add the team truth we have a total of 5 brawleer types: Cap,mockingbird, ronin, wolverine, luke.whichis just rediculous and boring. so adding her when there are already so many similar types would just continue to hit the ailr the head. they need other allies and to loose the pointless non-belongers like: spider-man, and wolverine. and replace for some equaly and more appropriate characters such as hellcat, and arachne. Somone with some ties or how bout this, get creative and make somone new..

2) as far as her skills they are quite comparable to Batman, she Is frequently said to be the best spy in the world menaing she has formidable expertise in intelegence gathering, sabatage, computers, anhas extensive contacts throught the intelegence and superhero comunity that cant be given by anone else except arguably bucky who has his hands full just trying to be a half good cap. She is a master of several forms of martial arts in the same as batman and has also been trianed by cap durring her tenure with the avengers the same that Ronin, and Bucky have. However in addition to her training by him she was the partner and obviously sparring partner of Daredevil, and As revealed in Wolverine origins was trained by him in her youth, her retcon Origin also has her being trained By Bucky/Winter soilder along with other as far as skills in weapons (melee, and technoplogical) while at the Red Room since her youth. Served as tactical leader of the Avengers; and has been shopwn to have SHeild status high enough to at times make her defacto commander of SHIELD. she has numerous qualifications that would make her a wonderfuil leader of the team but thats just not going to happen.  why, because it dosent make since right now.

3) as far as powers Natasha is a confirmed super-soilder by russian development. retarding her age in the samee like as Rodgers, posessing healing on a near comparable level. with and incresed tollerance if not near immunity for poisions, and toxins, as well as an higer functioning immune system. she has peak human abilities. as revealed in her las miniseries homecoming, and the things they say about her so also in that respect he is equal and has an edge on the Bat.

4) Barton has proved himself a far than capable leader durring his tenure with the Thunderbolts, which i still think was the best run that book has had. So im more than satisfied he is leader............But BW would kick his ass, firstly because prior to anyone else really, BW and he were partners and she took him under her wing and trained him, which is slightly hinted at in the bowmans agile nature in combat which is a token technique of the widow as well as the captain (credit where due) and she has had more trianing in that arena than him.

5) if there is one thing she could add that the others would be lacking it would possibly be...organization, as a strategist first whoes life is always on the line from seen, and unseen enimies she always has to stay two steps ahead, she is also a reformed "villian" who has since killed, and done things that may not be considered Avengers worthy but would allow them to keep up witha twisted psyche liek osborn, daken, bullseye, handling criimnals and villians, who are driven by passion, and intrigue is her speciality as a professional and as somone who lives in that world. one could argue bucky could also do the same, but to face it he is not cap and does not have the ability to organize as throughly as she would  nore with an arm the color of a sportscar get where she can get.

once upon a time it was iorn man, and sadly since she's never really had any attempt at a solo title it leaves us with very few pickings. the most recent attempt at establishing a rival or arch-anything for her would be the most obvious and annoy Yelena Bolova, BW2. however before that she had had many run ins with Damon Dran, the indestructible man so they say. Also the villaness Snapdragon was retconned into becoming the archenemy  of Diamondback.Thoguh it seems the one that never really goes away are the KGB relics baring some sort of grudge against her for something or another.

oh just remembered there was about a four or five issue run in marvel team-up where Lost her memory and had to regain it with the principle advsary being Viper aka Madame Hydra, which was a rivalry or atl least and enimity that was expanded upon in the daredevil arc the widow prior to the richard K morgan run with the Homecoming mini series.. of all the pairings i can think of this one makes  not only the most since being that Viper is a terrorist whoes mystique rivals black widow's own. there share a marvelous similarity with both there early lives having been affected by the second world war and going on to become the most reconizable femasymbols for both HYDRA and SHIELD who themselves have a history that races itself back with ties to strucker and Fury.

yes this pairing while the history has yet to be completely flushed out beacuse there must be one is the most logical apealing and sexy.
