7 Things Man Of Steel 2 Will Need To Get Right!

What should be next for Superman? Now that Man Of Steel is a success at the box office and Snyder has made it clear the next project would be a sequel... What would MOS 2 need to up the ante?

1. The Clark Kent Story

– First and foremost now that we’ve had the Superman story we’ve always wanted, give us a Clark Kent story that is hopefully better if not on par with Man of Steel. A lot of critics complained that this movie was not human enough. It didn’t deliver on the emotional as much as on the physical. I agree to a certain degree. There were many touching moments for me however the supporting cast was mostly there to keep the plot moving forward or to remind us of 911. Although the movie is over two hours long, half of that are action scenes. I would have loved to see more of Kevin Costner in the role of Pa Kent. I would have loved for Clark’s relationships with the other characters to feel more believable and genuine. I loved MOS despite all this and hope that the sequel will improve on some points I and others have pointed out. I hope that it will show us a farm boy attempting to adapt to a new more chaotic environment and job.

2. His Secret Identity Problem

– This one is extremely important. Goyer has admitted how this will be a challenge for him moving forward and that in my opinion is an understatement. MOS is not a perfect movie and I’m sure many will agree that this is a reason why. Too many people know Superman’s identity. Most of his middle school classmates know it and Lois knows it. The government should already know that the Kents are people of interest. They are the only family on earth that was personally visited by General Zod and his fellow Kryptonians. Snyder needs to show us a believable explanation for why no one has been able or will be able to recognize him. Whether it’s using Kryptonian technology or simply glasses lol this will have to be properly explored in the MOS sequel.

3. His Romantic Relationships

– One thing that Smallville did really well that I long to see on film is to show us what dating Clark Kent would really be like. Personally I do not want Clark and Lois’ relationship to go anywhere past that kiss and here’s why! Goyer and Snyder should play up the sexual tension between the two and begin to lay down the foundation for a strong friendship that most successful marriages are built on. I would much prefer see Clark close and intimate with Lana Lang. The Dark Knight Rises is a perfect example of what I would prefer to see Clark deal with in this sequel. In TDKR Bruce Wayne meets in many way his soul mate Selina Kyle but he ends up opening up to Talia. The later [reference to Talia] ends up betraying him and being a worst match for him than he could have ever imagined! I want to see Clark assume it better to open up to someone who has known him longer only to realize that he might not belong with a fellow small town girl.

4. His Fortress of Solitude

– For most of the movie I assumed the Genesis ship (aka the ship that Clark finds in Canada) would be Superman’s fortress of solitude. The idea of his fortress actually being a ancient Kryptonian ship was awesome and very appropriate! Had that been the case he would have had technology at his disposal that is beyond human understanding or capabilities. Well thankfully Zod left his smaller scouting ship behind when he stole the Genesis so Clark could always use that. Why is it important that he has alien tech in his fortress? How else then will he figure out what kryptonite is? Yes humans could figure it out but Superman has never relied on mankind for information in regards to alien stuff. That’s part of what makes him Superman. It’s that he’s not just a powerhouse… he’s a genius in his own right!

5. Real Reporting

– If this is to be a Clark Kent story, then this sequel needs to be a Thriller. Man of Steel already hinted at the idea of mankind not being trust worthy. I think this would be the perfect vehicle to further explore that notion. I want to see Clark develop his investigative skills as a reporter. Let him make newbie mistakes and butt heads with Lois and Perry. Goyer and Snyder need to do the opposite of what they have done in MOS and fill the movie with suspense and mystery! In MOS from the get go we know who Zod is, that he’s bad and that he’ll be hunting down Clark the moment he’s freed. The creators cannot do that in this movie! If it is about Clark Kent and reporting then it cannot be predictable!

6. President Luthor

– Like many of you I am dying to see Alexander Luthor in the sequel but not as a villain but as a friend. Goyer has already put it out there that in this world the head of Lexcorp is more of a Bill Gates figure. What if Clark has trouble making friends in Metropolis? What if he ends up becoming good friends with mr. Luthor after a couple interviews or writing a story on him? I would like to see Lex and Clark develop a bond like in All-Star Superman. Maybe Clark could be the one to encourage him to run for president. Seeing how Clark has a gift for seeing the good in others it’s not a far stretch… To me that was another thing I loved about Smallville, having Clark and Lex have been best friends gave their relationship more depth and emotional punch especially when it later takes a drastic turn for the worst. We desperately need to see that happen on the big screen!

7. Kryptonite

Kryptonite is and has always been Lex Luthor’s best weapon against the MOS. If he is in it then there also must be Kryptonite. That being said we don’t want another Superman Returns! Considering how powerful MOS has made Superman I think he can handle some metahumans on top of having to deal with his first known weakness. That way he is actually upping the stakes and pushing himself to become even more powerful in this movie than we have just seen him in his origin story. I don’t want the kryptonite to be in Smallville. That small town has seen enough destruction… I want Snyder to take us elsewhere. He has already expressed his desire to make Superman go global in the next MOS so make it happen. A friend of mine came up with the amazing idea that "when Zod and his World Engine machines were beginning to terra form Earth into Krypton, in turn they were making and forming the natural resources Krypton would have possessed, including kryptonite. So as the terra forming was changing the landscape of Earth, it created kryptonite crystals/minerals in Earth's landscape." Highly doubt Goyer and Snyder are paying attention to any of this but a fanboy can dream they get this kryptonite thing right...

Plot Suggestions

- Lex Luthor hires Star-LabsDoctor Abernathy to secretly create Kryptonite powered soldiers aka the Anti-Superman Army. When the experiments on former soldier John Corben go wrong 3 innocent employees / bystanders get experience mutations and develop dreadfully painful and toxic abilities! Albert Michaels becomes Atomic Skull, Clay Ramsay becomes Kryptonite Man, Rudy Jones becomes Parasite and John Corben becomes Metallo. Together they go on a revenge spree against their creator and Lexcorp.

Clark is tasked to cover this story and after interviewing Lex, Clark believes him to be the victim. So he publishes a story that shows how Lex Luthor isn't just a victim of defamation (aka corporate slander) but also a leader that has helped rebuild Metropolis and in turn the perfect presidential candidate! Clark and Lex start spending more time together and develop a great friendship but Lois isn't convinced of Lex Luthor’s innocence. Clark and Lois butt heads over the matter which leads Clark to confront Lex and have him reveal that the two were once a couple but things between them ended on a bad note. This revelation drives a wedge between Lois and Clark who decides to find comfort in the arms of Lana Lang.

Superman attempts to address Lex’s problem and takes on the kryptonite powered team of villains who have been attacking various Lexcorp facilities across the world. The fight ends with Superman being presumed dead, Lois retrieving his body and having it returned to Smallville. After a long recovery Clark decides to take a closer look into the matter as a reporter. Knowing that he's still not at 100% but that he won't listen to her, Lois attempts to recruit Lana to help talk him out of it. But Lois tracks down Lana Lang only to find out that she's been cheating on Clark the whole time they've been together. She returns home with the bad news but Clark is already gone.

He uses his creativity to take each member of the Anti-Superman Army out one by one until none are left. When he discovers the truth that Lex Luthor is the mastermind responsible behind the metahumans he has just defeated, Clark is forced to confront and eventually betray his best friend. Luthor who was running for president is arrested and taken out of the race. The movie ends with Superman tracking down where Lexcorp has been hiding the remaining Kryptonite and finding with it another Kryptonian ship.

What Earth 2 Superman & Powergirl Should Have Looked Like

Well the new 52's World's Finest series has dissapointed a lot of Powergirl and Huntress fans. It's been mentioned in so many other articles and forums how underwhelming and disconnected the tiitle has felt! Although there's nothing we can really do about it, I still want to share my vision of what could have been...

Firstly, I would have started off with a much stronger storyline to introduce one of DC's best female duos! There were definately some interesting stuff like Batman and Catwoman's relationship... Helena's relationship with both parents could have been so interesting seeing how Selena most likely would have wanted a daughter (explaining their strong relationship) and that Bruce would have preferred a son and how that would have affected how good a father he would be and his expectations of her.

But this blog is more about Superman and Powergirl... On earth 2 Superman is older and somehow lost Lois Lane. So he is somewhat hardened and a lot closer to a version of himself that we have seen before: "the Justice Lord". This version of superman has only been known on screen and I believe this would have been the perfect opportunity to recycle a very awesome yet underused design. As an animator myself I was very unimpressed with the designs used for earth 2 Superman and Supergirl. They were soo unoriginal! I admit I was too lazy to draw my vision of what they should have looked like myself but I did some photoshopping instead and came up with this...

There are several things I didn't like about the Powergirl designs they went with... For one, if she is essentially Supergirl, why doesn't she have an indestructible suit or why are they trying to give her a P logo when she too is of the house of El meaning her family crest is the same as Superman's? This design by mr. Alberto is a perfect example of what could have been! Now her uniform was enough of a screw up but we also had to put up with her ridiculous personality changes. We can definitely blame it on bad scripting but the truth is... this is one of the new 52's worst comics period.

I doubt I'll keep following the title but let me know if you agree with me that this these minot tweeks would have made a huge difference!

Nubian Prince - The Black Panther Movie We're All Longing For!!!

There's been a whole lot of talk lately about who should get the lead in Marvel's Black Panther movie. I present to you some of the best movie casting and plotting you'll ever see on this site! Check it out and leave a comment... I guarantee you won't be dissapointed!

I think we're all in agreement that a Black Panther movie needs to be made! Well I think I found the perfect cast and plot for it. Here is part one of my Black Panther trilogy!

Prince T'Challa is a selfish, stubborn but brilliant young man. Unlike his father, T'Challa is a man of science. He doesn't care about being king and everyone in the kingdom knows it. When King T'Chaka suddenly dies, T'Challa becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth for even though he and his father often butt heads; T'Chaka is the greatest man he has ever known.

Why Aldis Hodge? Aldis is an extremely talented actor! I've watched every season of Leverage and more than once has he pulled of a very decent African accent. Give him some time in the homeland and he'll be even more convincing! Other than that he has martial arts training and is very athletic and handsome. A role like this could really give him a stage to prove himself and get the recognition he deserves...

Hunter is King T'Chaka's adopted son and was once the only heir to the throne. He deeply loves his father because even though he didn't look like everyone else T'Chaka took him in and made a prince of an orphan. He really wants to believe that his brother has what it takes to reclaim the throne but he has his doubts.

Why Guy Pearce? Well hunter is a crafty and layered character. Guy Pearce might be a little old but a little cinema magic and he would be perfect in this role but my second choice would have been Dustin Clare who plays Gannicus in Spartacus...

T'Shan is spoiled and free spirited. All he cares about is having fun and flirting with women. He doesn't get along with his father Syan and blames him for not being the next heir to the throne. He isn't known for being smart or strong which is why he mainly manipulates others to get what he wants.

Why David Oyelowo? Because he's a star! He's landed some great supporting roles in a number of films because of his talent. This character would be very similar to the one he played in "Red Tails"...

Storm is nothing like the girls in Wakanda. All she knows is survival and isn't very good at making first impressions. She's strong because her circumstances have made her such but doesn't like to be pitied.

Why Zoe Saldana? Truth is although she's had many great roles in sci-fi and action films, she still hasn't played a superhero. She would make an amazing Ororo Munroe and my God is she sexy!

Nakia was born and raised to one day be queen and acts like it. She's very protective of her master and future king. She needs him and is convinced that he needs her.

Why Tracey Heggins? Honestly because she's beautiful! Don't get me wrong lol she can act... see "Medicine for Melancholy" or I might get killed for this but look out for her in the next "Twilight". The Chosen Ones represent the finest Africa has to offer and in my opinion Tracey can portray that!

Okoye is the perfect Dora Milaje. She doesn't question orders and she doesn't fail. She's strong, beautiful and dangerous just like her mother Aneka.

Why Yaya Dacosta? Yaya is definitely a rising star not to mention that she too is gorgeous. She one of the best young black actresses America has to offer. She would be a great addition to the cast and specifically in this role.

Zuri is the leader of the resistance and the greatest street fighter in Wakanda. He was once just a regular country man until Man-Ape became king and began enslaving the people of his tribe. Now he leads an army of rebels who fight for the freedom and future of all Wakandans.

Why Steve Toussaint? We needed someone huge for this part but having a huge guy that can't act is useless. Steve has played in many action flicks. I remember him most for his part in "Prince of Persia"...

Princess Shuri is a stubborn and angry young woman. Having lost her father and step brothers, her mother is all she has left. She's willing to do anything to see her enemies suffer and be punished for their crimes.

Why Tika Sumpter? Tika is most known for her recurring role as Raina Thorpe on Gossip Girl and as Jenna Rice in the CW/BET sitcom, The Game. She was also in Think like a Man as Dominic's girlfriend. She could do an amazing Shuri.

King T'Chaka was very close to being known as the realms greatest king until his reign was cut short. He is mostly known as being a very spiritual man and for banning the public use and weaponizing of vibranium after the people of a small town began to develop mutations due to too much exposure.

Why Adewale Akinnuoye? He was one of the first to publicly declare his interest in the role. I want to see a young Black Panther so he's not my choice for T'Challa but he would be great as T'Chaka. His only appearances would be in flashbacks.

Queen Mother was a woman from South Africa who won the heart of T'Chaka King of Wakanda after his previous wife N'Yami died giving birth to T'Challa. She was surrogate mother to Hunter and T'Challa and with T'Chaka produced a daughter named Shuri.

Why Alfre Woodard? Clearly she's much older than Adewale but I think it could still be believable if her husband had died ten years prior. Personally I can't imagine anyone else playing this role!

Syan is King T'Chaka's brother. When his brother dies, Syan takes on the weight of the crown and steps up as the king regent. Syan has always connected more with T'Challa because they have similar minds unfortunately this would drive a wedge in his relationship with his own son T'Shan.

Why Djimon Hounsou? Another favorite for the lead but too old! If he played Syan he would still be in some decent action scenes and get the chance to be the Black Panther.

Aneka was King T'Chaka's last Dora Milaje. Once he chose T'Challa's birth mother to be his queen, all the other Dora Milaje left. Aneka stayed behind and dedicated herself to raising up and training the next generation.

Why Angela Bassett? If it's an American made film why pretend like we're going to get a full African cast? As long as we have a stellar cast we're good enough. Angela Bassett wouldn't have the biggest role in this film but she's a incredible actress and would definitely contribute to the films overall success...

Ngassi is an elderly man who acted as functionary and close colleague to King T'Chaka. He is one of the King's most trusted advisors and has the duty of selecting a dutiful replacement to carry on the Black Panther title.

Why Morgan Freeman? Morgan freeman is another veteran of the industry that would definitely contribute to the films overall success...

Achebe is a man whose real identity is still unknown. He is the guardian of the sacred garden in which the heart shaped herbs are found. He appears not to age and is a prophet, sorcerer and priest of the highest order.

Why Leonard Roberts? I haven't seen him in too many movies but we already know how talented an actor he is...

Man-Ape is one of Wakanda's greatest warriors and of noble blood. King T'Chaka intrusted him to watch over the vibranium mound and to monitor its effect on the vegetation and wildlife but M'Baku broke the law by worshipping and sacrificing White Gorillas in a sacred ritual that would give him apelike strength, agility and stamina. The two men clashed and have been enemies ever since.

Ulysses Klaw is a Dutch scientist that traveled to Wakanda to acquire and do experiments on vibranium. King T'Chaka refused him access and fought with him. He eventually blasted off Klaw's right hand with one of Klaw's sound weapons but not before Klaw made T'Chaka swallow a poison that would slowly kill him. After the king's death, Ulysses returned to Wakanda and manipulated Man-Ape into taking the throne in order to avenge his forefathers and finish his work.

The movie begins with T’Challa being interviewed… "So tell us about your father, how did he die? We know you were only 11 at the time but you figured it out didn't you? I mean he was only in his fifties when he suddenly fell sick right?" T’Challa flashes back to T'Chaka's last fight with Klaw... "I’m sure your father would be very proud of you. You’re not the same man you were a few months ago!"

Rewind to several months before… Regent Syan is having his regular meeting with the heads of the numerous clans but only Hunter shows up. Before he starts he asks “Where is the prince?” Hunter replies “here I am uncle”, “Not you” sighs Syan “Hunter go find your brother” … Hunter leaves the board room frustrated: “Yes uncle”.

T’Shan slept in because he was out partying all night and T’Challa is with his younger sister Shuri locked up in his room investigating his father’s murder who died under mysterious circumstances ten years earlier.

Man-Ape attempts to convince the board to allow the mining and weaponizing of vibranium but Syan dismisses the idea. T’Chaka believed that the vibranium was cursed (Killmonger and his crew of mutates) and that it should be left alone. Man-Ape believes that Wakanda is and was always meant to become an empire and that the use of vibranium to make weapons is a must.

Unfortunately he did not know how to do it himself so he made a deal with Professor Ulysses Klaw. In exchange for a limited amount and the chance to research the vibranium, Klaw agreed to help Man-Ape defeat Syan in a one on one battle.

When the annual battle for the crown arrived Man-Ape was the first to challenge the king regent. Syan fought long and hard, never tiring but once Klaw activated his beacon from his facility in the jungle, Man-Ape gained the upper hand and shortly after put an end to Syan’s resistance.

All who witnessed were horrified as a pool of blood surrounded Syan's body. In less than 20 minutes Man-Ape had become ruler of the country.

Man-Ape became a ruthless king; he made slaves of the rebels and surrounding nations so they could mine the vibranium. He also kept princess Shuri to be his bride.

N’Gassi took T’Challa away before he had a chance to challenge his uncle’s killer and convinces him to leave and come back when he’s more prepared. Aneka assigns Nakia and her daughter Okoye as his Dora Milaje and orders them to stay at his side and protect him with their lives as he represents the future of the nation.

Once exiled T’Challa, T’Shan, Hunter, Okoye and Nakia ran into Storm who tried to steal from them. When she got caught, she and T’Challa spend some time together. She showed him the poverty in the world around them and the selfishness of the rich.

T’Challa’s heart was touched so he devised a plan to take down Man-Ape’s slavery operation. But before they began it, T’Challa left on a secret mission from N’Gassi to retrieve an item (heart shaped herb) that would help him defeat Man-Ape. When he got to his destination somewhere deep in the forbidden jungle he meets Achebe the guardian of the garden in which the herbs are found.

When he gets back they locate the largest slave camp and attack it but they get captured. Storm refuses to re-become a slave and leaves before she gets caught. All the slaves get smuggled into Wakanda and shipped to the Vibranium mound to work the mines. This is where the band meets Zuri the rebel leader. During this time T’Shan shares his disapproval of T’Challa’s actions with Hunter. Having been left out of the loop they blame him for their capture. They thought that he was lowering himself and showing weakness by having fell for Storm who eventually betrayed them and for becoming so friendly with the other slaves. Together they agreed that whatever should happen, it would be best that one of them became the next Black Panther. T’Challa shares his plans to free the slaves and reclaim the throne with Zuri who arranges through his connections to get a message to Shuri. Zuri helps T’Challa understand his people and connect with them. Before long they begin to refer to him as the Nubian Prince.

Then one day Man-Ape comes to visit the mine and brings Shuri with him. Shuri pretends to be impressed and while Man-Ape and the supervisor are speaking she sneaks into the control room and unlocks all the cells… Everyone breaks free and the rebellion begins. In the midst of all the chaos Hunter tracks down T’Shan now seeing him as competition for the throne and kills him.

When the people take control of the mine, T’Challa steps up and challenges Man-Ape for the throne. Forced to accept challenges from anyone of royal blood, they fight but even without Klaw to interfere T’Challa is losing. T’Challa flashes back to his time with Achebe “the Black Panther is more than a title but the embodiment of the nation’s ideals. When that is what you’re fighting for, then the power will be yours”. T’Challa looks around at his countrymen’s disappointment as he gets humiliated by Man-Ape. ”Bast Panther God of life, like my forefathers before I vow to be your avatar but if I do not win our people will die and suffer. Please give me the strength to be all that they need me to be!” and all of a sudden T’Challa’s senses and abilities become enhanced and he takes over the fight.

As T’Challa is about to finish his opponent Man-Ape pleas for his life and reveals that Klaw is actually the mastermind behind T’Chaka’s death. Knowing he has missed his chance to become king, Hunter arrives just in time to see T’Challa spare Man-Ape’s life and exile his whole clan.

T’Challa manages to track down Klaw and after an epically choreographed fight he'll manage to turn his own weapon on himself and kill him.

T’Challa is crowned king and the new Black Panther

The after credits scene is of Man-Ape getting taken into shield custody and questioned about Wakanda.

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK? Wouldn't it be awesome if it was directed by the South African phenom Neil Blomkamp (District 9) and done in all hand-held and/or documentary style?

Marvel Animated Shorts

DC Nation officially lauched on the cartoon network last saturday... I kept hearing about all the animated shorts they had planned and immediately wondered what Marvel shorts would I like to see?

So I made a list of my top ten. I tried to keep in mind that it would mostly be for kids not adults and that many of our favorite characters are already in a tv show or will be making regular appearances soon.

  1. Marvel Knights Present: The Confederates (Black Panther leads a team of him, Bucky Barnes as USAgent, Michael Pointer as Major Mapleleaf, Captain Britain & Red Guardian. Together they tackle real global issues! here's an unfinished sketch I did since this team doesn't actually exist in the Marvel U)
  2. X-Babies (Must have an series of shorts featuring mutants... I went through all the teams and out of all of them the x-babies would be the funniest to watch... not to mention it's one of the few X teams that still haven't been animated yet!)

  3. Power Pack (Absolutely mandatory if making animated shorts for kids!)
  4. Daughters of the Dragon (Misty Knight and Colleen Wing prove themselves to Marvel's best detectives and bounty hunters)
  5. Cloak & Dagger (I have no clue what direction i would like to see this take but I know that I would enjoy seeing it on tv and kids probably would too.)
  6. Rocket Raccoon & Groot (How can you have Marvel shorts without space adventures. My first idea was the Annihilators but the name of the team didn't seem very child friendly... then my thoughts came accross The Guardians of the Galaxy, finally I decided just to go with Groot and his good ol pal Rocket Raccoon. This could prove quite entertaining if writen well!)
  7. Her-oes (We might have to change the Wasp for someone else but afull girl team really helps balance out the menu!)
  8. Journey Into Mystery (I was thinking if it's for kids we need at least one magic based series. So I thought of Doctor Strange but decided he was too old as a main character. He gained his powers as an adult so we couldn't make him younger. Then I thought of Journey into Mystery and figured it would work perfectly!)
  9. Captain Marvel (Featuring a teenage Noh Varr performing superman-like gestures all over the Marvel U but with the ability to communicate to previous or deceased captains kinda like Aang does in "the last airbender" but without leaving this plane)
  10. The Inhuman Blackbolt (I doubt him or his family will be making many appearances so it's perfect to raise awarness of the character... not to mention short adventures about a superhero who can't use his voice has the potential to be pretty epic!)

So that's my top ten wish list for Marvel animated shorts. What's yours? Would you or your kids watch any of mine?

Black Panther Series Reboot!!!

With The Black Panther Series coming to an end it might just be the right time to start over! With so many titles having reboots, regenesis and rebirths, It wouldn't be a bad idea at all!

Here's how I would go about it...

If I was writing his title I would temporarily end the Panther Cult in Wakanda and start the miniseries with the choice of a new one ( Lion, White Gorilla, Crocodile) Bast the panther Goddess showed up when Vibranium did and should leave with it now that there's no more! Have Shuri become the avatar of the chosen God so there's only one Black Panther.

This would force T'Challa and Storm to return home and when they would get there they would find the new Shuri with Chronok (her love interest) by her side. It would be explained that his futuristic technology is what has been keeping Wakanda's economy alive...

I would also reintroduce the Wakandan Secret Police to help facilitate her reign. After losing vibranium, Wakanda must be in chaos! Shuri is the kind of character that would sanction one.

When T'Challa and Storm find out about all this they are forced to reclaim the throne from Shuri Chronok who proves to be more resourceful than expected. Once they would have him cornered and go in for the final blow Shuri would die sacrificing herself to save her lover. It would be the perfect kind of tragedy to turn Chronok against the avengers and into a similar version to the one most people are (not) familiar with lol.

Chronok disappears and T'Challa is king once more. His and Storms first actions as rulers is to abolish the monarchy and establish a democracy in Wakanda (which won't last too long). This is where issue one of the new "Black Panther & Storm" ongoing would pick up!

Read it here: http://blackpantherfanstories.wordpress.com/2008/01/09/danger-zone/

So what are your thoughts... Do you think this is a good way to get the Black Panther back to ground zero?

Getting The Wonder Woman TV Show Right

How can Woman Woman work on the small screen? The answer to this question continues to elude hollywood's best!

But after watching the horrible new pilot I came up with a 2 hour long interpretation that would captivate WW fans and non-fans alike...

The episode begins as Themyscira falls under attack by an unknown foe. The Amazons are being massacred. Knowing that this is the end of her people, Queen Hippolyta takes Diana her 10 year old daughter and flees to the temple. When they get inside Hippolyta takes her into a secret chamber underground and activates a portal. She instructs Diana to go through the portal with a mysterious box she had been holding on to until now. Diana turns to see her mother one last time as she enters the portal only to see her lying on the floor unconscious with a dark shilouette standing above her.

The other side of the portal opens with a blast of light and Diana finds herself in 1996, in the middle of the pacific ocean. A yatch owned by Eliane Prince a very rich widowed woman witnesses the anomaly from a distances and decides to have a closer look. Ms. Prince finds the young girl and brings her aboard. We first see Diana exibiting her super powers once she gets on the boat. She's unconcious when she gets picked up but wakes up hovering over the bed. The moment she see's the people around her she drops. Scared out of her wits by the man standing above her she runs towards the door at a superhuman speed only to bump in another man. the first guy shows up behind and tries to calm her down but she grabs his wrisk and squeezes it until he begs her to let him go. And that's when Ms. Prince makes her first appearance by coming into the room. Seeing that Diana seems to have forgotten where she comes from, Ms. Prince takes her in as her daughter and has the identity of Diana Prince made for her.

Diana is taught to master her powers while being homeschooled until she begins her studies in international relations at Boston University. During her time there she develops a very strong attachment to Julia Kapatelis, one of her teachers and her daugther Vanessa. Just before she gradutes with a masters degree she does an intership with the US military. That's where she meets and falls in love with the pilot and undercover Blackhawks operative Steve Trevor. Diana will soon after get a job working for the Central Bureau of Intelligence. At night She sneeks out and uses her unique abilities to solve cases that the CBI have abandoned and slowly begins to build up a reputation as a vigilante that people call Wonder Woman. As a vigilante she dresses all in black, wears a bulletproof vest and caries a range of prototype gadgets unknowingly similar to her iconic lasso and tiara.

5 years later, Eliane dies and leaves her her fortune. During the funeral, Diana is approached by Sarge Steel, Eliane's old boss. After revealing that he knows about her secret activities, he offers Wonder Woman a job in which she wouldn't have to sneek around. She would be working with the new Department of Metahuman Affairs and have liason agent (Nemesis). When she visits the DMA and where her adoptive mother used to work, she spots her long forgotten box. Diana opens it and finds her iconic armor alonside several amazonian artifacts. These artifacts trigger flash backs and she begins to remember her old life so she takes them with her on her first assignment to catch a metahuman gone wild. Wonder Woman takes down the criminal in public and instantly becomes famous.

The pilot ends with a mysterious shadowy figure making a phone call and saying... "Yes I'm watching it. We found her!"

The show would be kinda like Heroes meets Spartacus (flashbacks)... It would follow Diana Prince at the beginning of her career as Wonder Woman. Desperate to uncover the truth of who she is, what happened to Themyscira and the Gods all while trying to live a normal life.

Please share your thoughts... Would you watch this?

What Marvel isn't doing with the Black Panther

Black Panther fans are getting fed up with how badly Marvel is handling one of their greatest characters... the Black Panther!

Probably the biggest topic concerning the Black Panther is what direction he's headed. Where is Marvel going with him? Will he ever return to his status as ruler of the world's most advanced civilization? Should he?

The truth is that David Liss has done a great job with T'Challa so far but there's so much that he and Marvel aren't doing...

So here's my top three list:

1. Marvel still hasn't dealt with the aftermath of Doom War.

Did Doom really give up that easily? He just packed up and went home? Isn't he angry? Doesn't he want revenge? What is Shadow Physics? Why isn't T'Challa exploring it's possibilities right now? Now that Wakanda has lost it's primary source of income, how will the citizens react to the loss of jobs, increase of crime rate and loss of technology? If Shuri is fighting Klaw, who is rulling the country? With the country vulnerable doesn't anyone want to invade?
2. Marvel still hasn't told us what life is like in Wakanda.
What does Wakanda really look like? How big is it? How does the government work? What about the different tribes? What about the different cults (Lion, White Gorilla, Crocodile)? If the Panther God showed up when vibranium did will she be leaving now that it's gone? Does Wakanda have any new heroes in training ( Almost all the current ones died in this storyline)? What's it like being a mutant in Wakanda? is Storm training or helping them?
3. Marvel still hasn't invested in making Storm and T'Challa's marriage feel genuine.

How often do they see each other? Do they have shared estates and where are they located? Do they plan on having children? Will T'Challa ever spend time with the X-men?
So am i the only one that's waiting for answers to these questions? Will Marvel ever take my favorite character seriously? Comment below...
