Is Mignola the Best Comic Writer Ever!? 0

Mike Mignola is a freakin genius! The story, the art, the characters in this mini series are  some of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen! The only complaint I have about this comic is that it's so short! I want more! There’s just not enough! But other than that it’s perfect! The writing is so brilliant! I mean who else would come up with the Nazis in cahoots with demons! That's freakin amazing! I think after reading this series I’ve decided that Mike Mignola is my favorite comic book write...

A Series Unseen 0

This is on of my favorite Batman mini series so far! Doug Moench writes a very classic creep story and Kelley Jones is one of my favorite Batman artists because he does an excellent job of complementing the story! After I read each of these issues so far I look around the room to make sure no floating guns are pointed at my head! I can honestly say this is one of the better Batman stories. I'm glad it detached from the current Batman story. Everyone knows Bruce is going to be back. But that's...

Come On, It's Thor! 0

I really love Thor's character. I've never read a Thor series before so I was looking for a good set of comics about the character to read. The newest series, " Thor" looked really good but my eye caught " The Mighty Thor." Honestly the reason it caught my eye was because John Romita Jr.'s name and art were on the cover. I'll pretty much buy anything John Romita Jr. does. I don't think I've ever read anything that he did the art for that wasn't good.   I'm new to the Thor story line so I don't ...

Artistic Truth 0

Wow! I have no regrets about buying this comic! Go pick it up today!   I love to draw. I've been drawing since I was like nine. So from an artistic view this comic is messy. And I love it! I've always been the kinda person that has to have everything look just right (especially with art) and Riley Rossmo just draws. He doesn't look back. He doesn't try to change anything (that I know of). He just puts it down on paper. He's a very talented artist but he doesn't spend time polishing up his work...

Shot, Cut, and Chopped! 0

Cowboy Ninja Viking number one is one of the coolest comics ever! A.J. Lieberman is the freakin man! And Riley Rossmo is one of the coolest artists ever! This comic shot, cut, and chopped my mind (in a good way)! It's so different! What a refreshment! It's like a movie in comic form too (I like that fact)! Only thing it has against it is that it’s a first issue so they’re still setting up the story and it’s a little slow. But! A dudes head gets chopped in half so that mostly makes up for it. I...

I Want the Next Issue! 0

Hellboy  is gone. Elizabeth is searching. Abe is wondering. Johann is beginning. Kate is hoping. Monks are dying... but what will happen next? Mignola, Golden, and Sniegoski do an excellent job with this issue. It was slightly slow going at first but then almost all first issues are.   I really like Abe's character and to be honest he's the reason I picked up this issue. While this comic isn't really from any one person's view he does seem to be a major part of the arc.   Ryan Sook an...

My First Star Wars Comic 0

Hahaha! This is one of my favorite Star Wars: Empire issues! The story takes place in between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. Luke and his squadron are on a strangeand supposedly uninhabited jungle planet. Suddenly they're attacked by Tie Fighters! Amidst all the commotion you see this lone figure lurking in the shadows and finally reveals themself! But who is it?  I really like comics that tie major story ideas together. This book brings the first three films together with the origina...

The Kingdom Will Come 0

I think this is my facorite book of all time (at least one of them). In this series Mark Waid and Alex Ross came up with something truly original, especially with the story. Playing out the book of Revelation in the lives of our beloved DC universe heroes was psychologically breath taking! Norman McKay, the main character, was based off of Ross's father who was a Protestant minister (if I remember correctly) and was paralleled to Saint John (who witnessed the Revelation God gave). Sheer genius...
